Moweaqua Coal Mine Museum

Displays and memorabilia from a bygone era. Most well-known for the December 24, 1932 disaster, the coal mine itself closed in 1935. The museum has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence for a special project by Congress of Illinois Historical Societies.
