At this time, you may choose to disembark and enjoy the downtown area on foot. There are a variety of shops and eateries to wander through. Don't worry, the trolley will return to pick you up. Your ticket includes a round trip back to Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site. The Trolley runs on an hourly schedule. Scripps Park Golf Course was originally built as a 9-hole course in 1923. The original 9 has many rolling fairways with bunkered greens and challenging water hazards. In 2002 the course expanded to 18 holes with the back 9 having the open feeling of a "links style" course. The wide fairways and creative hazards complement the demanding greens. All 18 holes are irrigated and provide consistent play from early spring to late fall. The course is long enough to be enjoyably challenging but easily accessible to walkers as well as cart players.
