This is the apartment where Ronald Reagan was born in 1911. It has been restored and decorated using furnishings similar to those used by the Reagans in the early 1900s. There is also an adjoining gift shop and museum. Donations accepted.
This quaint apartment, featuring the bedroom where the President was born, has been restored and decorated to its original 1900's style. It sits on the second floor at the site of the First National Bank which has also been restored. Next door is a gift store and museum of Reagan memorabilia. Open dates: March weekends only - Sat. 10am – 4pm & Sun. 1 – 4pm April 1 thru October 31 – daily Mon thru Sat – 10am – 4pm and Sundays 1 – 4pm We can also arrange to be open any time by appointment by calling 815-622-8705. Closed Easter Sunday & Mothers Day. A Birthday Celebration Open House is held every Feb. 6th honoring the birth date of Ronald Reagan. The event runs 10 AM to 4 PM with refreshments & free tours of both the Birthplace and the Tampico Area Historical Society Museum.
