Information

What are we made of? How did the universe begin? What secrets do the smallest, most elemental particles of matter hold, and how can they help us understand the intricacies of space and time? Since 1967, Fermilab has worked to answer these and other fundamental questions and enhance our understanding of everything we see around us.

Whether you're interested in science or just fishing in the ponds near the buffalo herd on over 6,000 acres of natural areas, you're welcome at Fermilab. Take a self-guided tour of the laboratory, the Art Gallery and science and educational displays. View the grounds from the 15th floor observation area. Visitors may also visit the Lederman Science Center. Fermilab's Arts & Lectures series hosts speakers and performances from around the world year-round in the Ramsey Auditorium. Groups are welcome by appointment.
