FAB Weekend Getaway
Enjoy Quincy's best Food, Architecture and bald eagles for the annual FAB weekend getaway held the last weekend in January. The Army Corps of Engineers offer scopes for eagle viewing at Quincy's Lock and Dam 21, partnering with a local Maine Street mansion tour and ending with dining at one of Quincy's Great River Restaurant partners. Great River Eagle Days
To celebrate the return of our National bird, the great Bald Eagle, the Standing Bear Council, the US Army Corp of Engineers and the Quincy Area CVB host Great River Eagle Days at the Oakley Lindsay Center and Lock & Dam 21 for viewing. The public is invited to the free activities at the civic center, Black Fox Singers, Native American dancers, vendors, food, live raptors and an eagle watch.

Fishing For Freedom
The Quincy area hosts Veterans from the War on Terrorism for a weekend of fishing the Mississippi River with a volunteer boater to take part in a bass and catfish tournament on Sunday. The public is invited to the Saturday evening banquet at 6pm at the Oakley Lindsay Center, with comedian Longhorn, silent auction and meal for $10. Spectators can enjoy the big fish weigh in on Sunday in Clat Adams Park along with entertainment and vendors.

Fun and entertainment for all. Events include Little Mr. & Miss and Queen Pageants, horse races, tractor pull, demo derby, food, carnival rides, livestock, and expo building displays. The Whistle Stop Depot Museum and Ferguson School will be open each evening.
