Taste of Chicago
Taste of Chicago is the nation's premier outdoor food festival showcasing the diversity of Chicago's dining community. Magnificent Mile Lights Festival

The BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, the nation’s largest evening holiday celebration, jump starts the holiday season on Saturday, November 22 with a full day of family friendly activities, concerts by top musical artists and the best holiday shopping. The day’s excitement culminates with a grand evening parade down Michigan Avenue marshaled by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, illuminating one million lights on 200 trees. The parade concludes with a grand finale fireworks show over the Chicago River.
Mercury's Canine Cruise
Dogs on boats? Yes! Bring your pooch on a leash and enjoy quality time with your dog while cruising on Chicago's waterways. This tour highlights dog-friendly hotels, restaurants, dog parks and fire hydrants. Enjoy the cool breeze in your hair (and fur!) aboard the Skyline Queen which offers plenty of safe outdoor-seating. Dogs may choose to sit on your lap, in a seat or on the deck. Don't worry, we have one-restroom for humans and one lined with newspapers for your pet. Water bowls are also onboard. Chicago Cubs Opening Day
Celebrate the unofficial start to spring with the Chicago Cubs home opener against the St. Louis Cardinals. First pitch is at 7:05pm at the historic Wrigley Field.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade & River Dying
One of the largest in the country, the annual downtown St. Patrick's Day Parade honors Chicago’s Irish heritage. The Chicago River goes green as 40 pounds of vegetable dye color the water between Columbus and Wacker drives. Festivities continue after as revelers parade up Columbus Drive with floats and flags to the sound of bagpipes. Hours: Dyeing 9:30 a.m., Parade 12 p.m.
Gaelic Park Irish Fest
Irish Fest brings together the best in Irish music from America, Canada and Europe. In addition to all of the music, there will be Irish sports, dancing, theater & story-telling, a petting zoo, Irish dogs and ponies, and Irish import stories. For the little people, there are magicians, puppets, jugglers, and clowns, and most importantly, unlimited carnival rides are included in the admission price in addition to free parking.

Oak Forest Fleadh
The Oak Forest-Crestwood Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Oak Forest, will host the 4th Annual Oak Forest Fleadh (pronounced "flah") on Saturday, March 9 on Cicero Avenue between 151st Street and 159th Street. Oak Forest Fleadh will include customer appreciation parties, a 5K race, an open bike ride, a family parade, and the 5th annual pub and restaurant open house.
