Special promotions for this event include Opening Night festivities and two dollar tickets ($2 Tuesday)! The Joliet Slammers are a professional baseball team based in Joliet, IL that play in the independent Frontier League. Home games are played at Silver Cross Field in Joliet. They are the 2011 Frontier League champions.

Frankfort Fall Festival

The Sandwich Fair (DeKalb County Fair) is the oldest continuing fair in the State of Illinois. It brings over 175,000 visitors to the Sandwich Fairgrounds every year with harness races, draft horse pulls, carnival rides, demo derby, grandstand shows and the Midwest’s largest display of agricultural and home arts exhibits. It’s a traditional fair with the awesome fun of a modern theme park. The Sandwich Fair is quaint, old-fashioned fun – a great place to stay connected. There’s something for everyone! Join the fun! Puerto Rican Heritage Festival
It’s a two-day festival celebrating the rich heritage of Puerto Rico. Put on by the Aurora Puerto Rican Cultural Council, the weekend features endless food vendors offering wonderful cuisine; domino competitions; traditional folk music; other Puerto Rican bands; a kids’ play area; novelty vendors; Puerto Rican craftsmanship vendors and non-stop fun. And don’t forget to take in the sights and sounds of the Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday.

The Village of North Aurora is proud to continue the North Aurora Days tradition of providing a fun-filled weekend of activities and entertainment for the whole family in our great community. The sponsors, volunteers, and participants of North Aurora Days have been working hard to plan and provide a great celebration filled with fun for the entire family.
Plano will be celebrating in super-style. This family-friendly festival commemorates the summer of 2011 when Superman’s enemies came to town and destroyed it during filming of the blockbuster movie, “Man of Steel.” Popular events include the Superman Zipline, the Villian’s Jail, live bands throughout the weekend, old-fashioned children’s games, rock climbing wall, inflatables for the kids and several contests. The Smallville Museum where many different movie and Superman artifacts are housed will be open during the festival. Take advantage of the photo opportunity with the full size statue of Henry Cavill as Superman. See also the cool cars of Cruise Night, live bands and beer tent.

Held the second weekend in August along the banks of the Fox River, highlights of the Fest include musical performances, carnival rides, a wide range of food vendors, free pony rides and petting zoo, a fishing derby, a car show and a parade.

There’s no better way to celebrate the summer than experiencing the band that literally created the beach rock sound live. And there’s no better place to do it than right on the banks of the Fox River. Calling The Beach Boys “legends” is an understatement. Their multi-layer harmonies, unmistakable 1960s surf rock sound and laid-back style launched them into worldwide fame, while simultaneously shaping the future of pop music forever. We like our surf with a side of soul, so joining The Beach Boys are the smooth, the soulful, and the funky Temptations. Known for their Motown smash hits “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “My Girl” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone.” Gates open at 5:30 pm - show starts at 7:00 pm. Bring your lawn chair and be early!
Happy Together Tour 2016 at the Paramount Theatre

In one rockin’ night, the Happy Together Tour 2016 is bringing your radio to life with Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Chicago’s own The Cowsills, Mark Lindsay from Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Spencer Davis Group starring (you guessed it) Spencer Davis himself and, of course, Flo & Eddie from The Turtles, all live on the Paramount stage. This show is stacked with what the kids are calling “oldies, but goodies,” and you don’t want to miss it. General Public On-Sale: June 30 at 10 a.m.
Yorkville Hometown Days Festival
The 2016 Hometown Days Festival is a family oriented event that provides entertainment the entire family can enjoy! Hollywood Vampires at RiverEdge Park
Joe Perry, Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp pay tribute to the original Hollywood Vampires. They are an American Rock supergroup formed to honor the musicians who died due to excess in the 1970s. All events at RiverEdge Park are General Admission. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs. Gates open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 8:00 pm.
Land of the Free, Home of the Brave: Aurora's Independence Day Celebration
The City of Aurora's Fourth of July Parade is a popular, not-to-miss parade for the whole family. This year's theme is "Land of the Free, Home of the Brave." Join the thousands of spectators lining the downtown parade route and display your patriotism and civic pride while watching the fabric of the community pass in front of you. The event will begin with a pre-parade ceremony at 9:15 a.m. outside the Paramount Theatre After the parade, enjoy free family activities and fireworks in two locations. Fireworks Celebration: the City of Lights will live up to its name with a pyrotechnic extravaganza illuminating the night sky with a rainbow of colors! Free park and ride shuttle service available 6-9 pm.
