8 Miles of Ag-tiques
8 Miles of Ag-tiques begins on Highway 26 north of Orangeville. Each stop will feature different tractors including John Deere, Massey Harris, International Harvester, Oliver, Minneapolis-Moline, Allis Chalmers, and other old machinery from the Good Old Days. There will be food, craft shows, tractor drives and fun.

Fever River Railroad/Stephenson Society of Model Trainmen Open House
For model railroad aficionados and everyone else who ever enjoyed model trains, this is something to see. The Fever River Railroad is a 103 by 24 foot scale model of a hypothetical railroad. The railroad intersects with models of "real" railroads, each of which can be operated independently. Up to 20 trains can be operating at one time. Industries along the railroad right-of-way duplicate either actual facilities or are typically correct of the industries that would be found in the Upper Midwest. The scenery represents the geographical area as well. A collection of railroad memorabilia and pictures are on display.

47th Annual Threshing Show and Antique Show
The Stephenson County Antique Engine Club proudly presents this annual event, “The Freeport Show”. It offers over 300 antique steam and horse-powered engines and equipment, and gas engines. This year’s feature is John Deere tractors and equipment. There will be a huge parade daily at 1:00 pm, a large flea market, a large display building offering antique transportation displays, home antiques, crafts, demonstrations, and farm miniatures, Gasoline Alley featuring gas powered engines, sawmill, and blacksmith shop. Also ride the Silver Creek and Stephenson Railroad antique steam train A Midwest Championship Antique Tractor Pull will be held on Saturday.
Art in the Park - Freeport

Mighty Richland Players Dessert Theater “A Nice Family Gathering”
Friday and Saturday: 7:30 pm; Sunday: 2 pm. In this comedy, it’s Thanksgiving Day and the first family gathering at the Lundeen household since the Patriarch died. At the gathering, Dad comes back as a ghost with a mission: to tell his wife he loved her, something he neglected to tell her while he was alive. However, not only can’t she see or hear him, she has also invited a date for dinner. Located in the historic Masonic Hall, the audience will not only get to see a great show, but also have a wonderful dessert during intermission. $20.
This annual craft show features the works of more than 300 crafters and artists displayed in booths, buildings and tents at the Boone County Fairgrounds. This show has a reputation for featuring hand-crafted, quality, original work. Vendors go through a juried application process, enabling us to provide you with an outstanding display of folk art, wood carving, dried florals, pottery, painted and appliqued clothing, jewelry, fine art and much more.
Silver Creek and Stephenson Railroad and Silvercreek Museum Labor Day Celebration
All aboard the antique steam train as a 36 ton 1912 Heisler steam locomotive pulls three cabooses and two passenger flatcars for a four mile ride through farmlands and across a bridge 30 feet above Yellow Creek. Purchase your ticket at the Silver Creek Depot, a turn-of-the-century replica filled with railroad artifacts. Browse for novelties in the Freight House and visit the Silvercreek Museum which offers 25 rooms of early Americana, a display of antique machinery, Henney Motor Company vehicles which were manufactured in Freeport, and the operating Cooper-Corliss engine, a giant 130 ton steam engine. The Silvercreek Museum will be serving sandwiches and deserts. Train: Adults: $7; Children under 12: $3; Cab Rides available inquire at the Depot Freight House. 35th Annual Polish Fest
The annual Polish Fest at the St. Stanislaus Parish grounds features Polish food, beer, dancers, bingo, pull tabs, dancing all day (two different bands), culture center, children games, and much, much more.
Music On Chicago
Enjoy Freeport’s historic downtown with this music fest featuring two bands, great food and a beer garden. The June concert features “Laura Rae and the Backroads Trio” and “Back Country Roads”. The July concert features “The Funnies”, playing the whole night, and the August concert features “Guitar Ronnie” and “Cash Box Kings”. The first band starts at 6 pm and the second band at 8 pm. Gardens United Garden Walk

4th Annual Crusin’ To The Dairy Car Show
