Ribs on the River & Whitewater Festival
The smell of BBQ ribs will be wafting around the Bicentennial Riverfront Park as the United City of Yorkville hosts its 4th annual Ribs on the River backyard BBQ contest! Enjoy Whitewater events, food and entertainment throughout the day. For more information or to register to participate in the BBQ contest, contact the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department.

Rockin' For the Troops
Join us for the tenth annual Rockin' for the Troops fundraiser, with special appearances by the cover band Maggie Speaks, the Chicago Blues Allstars, and the Motown tribute band The Voices. The evening will culminate with headliner Gary Sinise and the 12-piece Lt. Dan Band. Gates open at 12 noon. A Ravinia-like atmosphere, the magnificence of Cantigny Park and the patriotism of a Fourth of July celebration create a "feel-good" event that your whole family can enjoy!
61st Annual DuPage County Fair

Dog Days at Cantigny Park
For one day only, dog lovers can enjoy a fun day at the park with their "best friends." Bring your dog out and enjoy a special dog play area, vendors from the dog world and some specially trained pooches to entertain. All dogs must have current vaccination tags and be social with others.
Vietnam Special Exhibit at Cantigny Park
The First Division Museum is proud to offer "Five Years in the Jungle: Vietnam Experiences of the 1st Infantry Division 1965-1970." The exhibit coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Big Red One's deployment to Vietnam.
Enjoy vintage games for kids, special tours and exhibits and free parking all day as the park celebrates the birthday of Cantigny benefactor Robert R. McCormick (1880-1955). This year's event will feature a free evening performance by Chicago Sinfonietta in honor of Cantigny Park's 60th anniversary!

Warrenville Holly Days
Holly Days, sponsored by the Warrenville Park District is the City's annual holiday celebration that marks Santa's official entry into Warrenville. Guests can enjoy a warm bonfire, raffles, free horse and carriage rides, hot cider and cookies, and, of course, a visit with Santa. Local Park District and school dance troops, singers, and bands entertain attendees during the event. It is at this event that Warrenville officially turns on its holiday lights creating an array of colors for passersby along Route 56 to see. Holly Days, primarily for Warrenville residents, gives the community an opportunity to come together and kick off the holiday season.
Summer Daze is Warrenville's summer music festival and car show. The event boasts children's rides, a craft show and bazaar, bands and local talent, karaoke, and delicious food and drink from local establishments. Most notably, however, the event features unique cars, motorcycles, and boats.
