Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Shows
Enjoy this professional water ski team as they perform on the Rock River with jumps, human pyramids and more. Great fun for all ages and admission is free. Shows are offered every Wednesday and Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day beginning at 6:30pm.

"Gourd"geous Day in the Country
Enjoy a "Gourd"geous day in the country at the 6th Annual Gourd Festival. The Gourd Festival is day of fun for the entire family. For the children there are gourd games, make it and take it crafts, face painting and puppet shows at no charge. For the adults, Gourd Patch member will be selling their gourd art, jewelry, home decor and supplies. There will be demonstrations on gourd carving, collages, and a Q&A all about gourds. Bring your camera and your walking shoes.
19th Century Christmas at Deere-Wiman House & Butterworth Center
Don't miss these two beautifully decorated Deere family mansions during the holiday season. The 19th Century Christmas features the interiors of the homes decorated for the holidays; along with living-history volunteers, Choir performances, Santa Claus, music, and make-and-take activities for the children. These homes once belonged to the John Deere family and are now operated by the William Butterworth Memorial Trust. Open noon to 5 p.m. Free admission.

Antique Engine & Tractor Association Working Farm Show
Visit the 50-acre showground and experience the fall harvest early 1900’s style. Event features the historical value of collection and exhibition of gasoline and steam tractors, power driven farm machinery and other equipment through field demonstrations, displays of gas engines, garden tractors, farm tractors and equipment. Tractor pulls, craft demonstrations, speakers, children activities and music are featured daily. Food is available and parking is free. .

Quad City Balloon Festival
Join in on the fun during the Quad Cities Balloon Festival in September. Featuring beautiful and colorful hot air balloons, the festivities take place at the Rock Island County Fair Grounds in East Moline, Illinois. Admission to attend the Quad Cities Balloon Festival is free, although a free will donation of non-perishable food items is appreciated. Schedule of Events includes and art fair, car show, balloon launch and balloon glow. All activities are weather dependent.

Fort Obie Rendezvous and Living Hitory Encampment
Visit the old world featuring a tipi encampment, black powder shoots, pre-1840 demonstrations, bow-shoots, tomahawk and knife throwing, primitive fire-starting, and 1840 trade goods. Open: 10am to 5pm on Saturday, and 10am to 3pm on Sunday. Admission $2.00 per person.
Cambridge Main Street Christmas on the Square
70 plus crafters will be featured at the Cambridge Parent Club’s annual craft show. Visit beautifully decorated homes during the Tour of Homes, area churches will feature “specialty treats.” Stop at Cambridge Community Hall and enjoy a visit with Santa, Holiday Music, supper and view the Festival of Trees. End the day and partake in the Baptist Church Christmas Cantata. Hours: 10am to 8pm.

Andover Christmas Julotta
For over 160 years this early morning (6:30 a.m.) service has been held at Augustana Lutheran Church. The service is held in a setting similar to that used by the Swedish congregation in 1870. The choir sings a Swedish anthem and the service is in English. Candles in the pews, altar and windows illuminate the sanctuary. Service begins at 6:30am.
