Antioch's Taste of Summer Festival

Dicken's Holiday Village
Olde England comes alive in Historic Downtown Antioch with lifelike figures representing scenes from the Dickens Era. The Dickens Holiday Village is back and the handcrafted Dickens characters made by our volunteer artists will bring a Public Art Program that is free for everyone to enjoy! Antioch will proudly displayed 45 Dickens characters for people to tour. Each character has a plaque describing the scene and also serves as an educational tool for students. Take a self-guided tour with one of our Dickens Walking Brochure Maps or reserve a tour guide for groups of 24 or more. Plus there is plenty of Dickens Fun for everyone in November and December. You may enjoy Dickens Teas, an Antioch "Oliver" dog afternoon, Dress like Dickens event, and much more.
Antioch's Summer Arts & Crafts Faire
This newly designed Summer Hand-Crafted Arts and Crafts Faire will feature artisans from around the country. Enjoy more than 140 booths of hand-crafted goods for summer and fall, food and free admission. There will also be plenty of children's free fun including face painting, balloon art and "Paint our Town!"
Antioch's Farmers Market

Rent at the Metropolis Performing Arts Center

The story centers around a group of artists trying to make it in New York during the height of the AIDS epidemic and the struggles they face, both professionally and personally. Hailed by The New York Times as an “Exhilarating, landmark rock opera…can be integrated into a character-driven story for the stage with wildly affecting success.”
The village of Ashton will host 3 days of live music, entertainment, activities for young and old along with food and fun! Several outstanding local and regionally known bands will be performing live such as American Idol Contestant Tristan Bushman, Burn N' Bush, Ethan Bell Band, Trippin Molly and Snap Shot! For the kids the Great American Carnival will be on the HS grounds Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
Mid-American Canoe & Kayak Race
Famously fun times! This historic, amateur canoe/kayak race is for paddlers of all ages and abilities, featuring 11 canoe divisions, 8 kayak divisions and 1 open (non-competitive) division. From the ultra-competitive to young families and newbies just wanting to enjoy a memorable paddling experience – it’s all here! Two race options are available, 10 miles from St. Charles and 6 miles from Batavia. Lunch, T-shirt, shuttle and goodie bag included. Post-race party and awards ceremony, too!
Two Brothers Summer Festival
The Two Brothers Summer Festival is a growing, weekend long music, food and beer festival focused on charity and community. The idea stems from the ideologies of the Ebel brothers, owners of the Two Brothers Brewing Company. Two Brothers Summer Festival was created to raise money and awareness for a growing list of charities, as well as give back to the local and regional community. Two Brothers Brewing Company is proud to have granted several wishes via the Make-A-Wish Foundation and helped a number of other children’s charities in its 18 years. This year The Two Brothers Brewing Company will donate net proceeds from the festival to Make a Wish Illinois and local charities. Music lineup includes Cold War Kids, Lord Huron, The Lone Bellow and PHOX.
Blues On The Fox at RiverEdge Park

Puerto Rican Heritage Festival
It’s a two-day festival celebrating the rich heritage of Puerto Rico. Put on by the Aurora Puerto Rican Cultural Council, the weekend features endless food vendors offering wonderful cuisine; domino competitions; traditional folk music; other Puerto Rican bands; a kids’ play area; novelty vendors; Puerto Rican craftsmanship vendors and non-stop fun. And don’t forget to take in the sights and sounds of the Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday.
Fox Valley Irish Festival at RiverEdge Park

Beach Boys & The Temptations: Surf & Soul Tour
There’s no better way to celebrate the summer than experiencing the band that literally created the beach rock sound live. And there’s no better place to do it than right on the banks of the Fox River. Calling The Beach Boys “legends” is an understatement. Their multi-layer harmonies, unmistakable 1960s surf rock sound and laid-back style launched them into worldwide fame, while simultaneously shaping the future of pop music forever. We like our surf with a side of soul, so joining The Beach Boys are the smooth, the soulful, and the funky Temptations.
