Black Vultures and turkey vultures fly and swoop in the skies surrounding Makanda each fall. Local residents await their return each fall as an end to the hot summer and the beginning of cooler fall weather. This event is a celebration of the Vulture’s annual migration with live music and displays by local artists for purchase. The Pygmalion Festival
Celebrating its eleventh year, Pygmalion Music Festival returns with a vengeance to Champaign-Urbana taking over multiple venues, SXSW style. QCA Heritage Tractor Parade and Show
Celebrate the history, pride, and technology of Deere & Company during the QCA Heritage Tractor Parade and Show. This tractor parade and show features all brands/colors 1970 and older of John Deere Tractors. It will be held September 8 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the John Deere Pavilion Admission to the parade and show are free.
