World War II Days
World War II Days includes elaborate and realistic battles complete with tanks, artillery, armored vehicles, and exciting pyrotechnic displays. Saturday the battle shows are featured at 1:3 pm and 3:30pm. Sunday the battle time is 2:30 pm. More than 1,200 re-enactors represent the soldiers of the United States, Great Britain, France, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Italy and Japan. In addition to the action on the battlefields, enjoy the skirmishes in the Village and Woods, demonstrations and displays in the buildings, woods encampments and the ambiance of the beautiful venue. Maps of the event site will be available when visitors arrive.
Winneshiek Players Present: "Rocky Horror Picture Show"
The Winneshiek stage will transform into a mysterious old castle where two unsuspecting travelers meet a crazy doctor and other crazy creatures. The cult classic film will be presented with a shadow cast and provide many opportunities for audience participation. $15 (Includes Prop Bag).
Train of Terror

All aboard the antique steam train as a 36 ton, 1912 Heisler steam locomotive pulls three cabooses, and two passenger flatcars for a four mile ride through farmlands and across a bridge 30 feet above Yellow Creek. Purchase your ticket at the Silver Creek Depot, a turn-of-the-century replica filled with railroad artifacts. Browse for novelties in the Freight House and visit the Silvercreek Museum which offers 25 rooms of early Americana, a display of antique machinery, Henney Motor Company vehicles which were manufactured in Freeport, and the operating Cooper-Corliss engine, a giant 130 ton steam engine. The high-powered Super Late Models once again return as the main attraction of NSTC, taking part both Saturday and Sunday in "One Great Racing Weekend."

Orangeville Education Foundation 5K Trail Run
October 3, ORANGEVILLE EDUCATION FOUNDATION 5K TRAIL RUN. Richland Creek Trailhead, 8 am. Join in a 5K run on the Jane Addams Trail to benefit the Orangeville schools. The scenic route follows Richland Creek; it is a flat, out and back course on a crushed limestone surface. Refreshments after the race for participants, plus door prizes, goody bags and more. Country music icons Martina McBride and Loretta Lynn join together for a special performance. Multi-million selling vocalist Martina McBride has had 20 top-10 hits and six No. 1 smashes. As a result, she is ranked as the most played woman vocalist on country radio between 1999 and 2010. She was honored with induction into the cast of The Grand Ole Opry in 1995. One of the all-time legends of American country music, Loretta Lynn has received numerous awards in country and American music, including induction into the Country Music Hall Of Fame in 1988 and the Song Writers Hall Of Fame in 2008. She was honored in 2010 at the Country Music Awards. Lynn has been a member of The Grand Ole Opry for 51 years since joining on September 25, 1962.

Jackson Browne at Coronado PAC
Jackson Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2007. Jackson's career began in the mid-60s in Los Angeles and Orange County folk clubs. Except for a brief period in NYC in the late 1960s, he has always lived in Southern California. His debut album came out on David Geffen's Asylum Records in 1972. Since then, he has released fourteen studio albums and four collections of live performances. His new studio album, Standing In The Breach, is a collection of ten songs, at turns deeply personal and political, exploring love, hope, and defiance in the face of the advancing uncertainties of modern life.
Illinois Game and Pet Breeders Fall Swap Meet
This swap meet involves the buying, selling and trading of game birds, animals, pets and supplies. Vendors will also be available with local honey, garden plants, flowers, and a small flea market. Events opens at 6 am. Gate Fee: $3.00 per person over the age of 12.
Greenwich Village Art Fair - Rockford Art Museum
Held rain or shine on the second weekend after Labor Day every year, Greenwich Village Art Fair is the longest-running art fair of its kind in the Midwest. The annual two-day event features up to 155 juried artists, live music by local musicians, a gourmet marketplace, children's art activities and food and drink.

Comedian Mike Epps - BMO Harris Bank Center
Mike Epps steadily climbed his way up the stand-up comedy ranks when he was recognized by a national audience in 1995 when he appeared on the Def Comedy Jam tour and HBO's Def Comedy Jam. During a performance at LA's Comedy Store, Epps caught the attention of Ice Cube. This led to the first of three feature films the duo would do together; the cult hits "Next Friday," "Friday after Next," and the New Line comedy "All About the Benjamins." He has had two Showtime Comedy specials "Mike Epps: Underrated and Never Faded" and "Mike Epps Presents..."
