Our market has grown and offers a wide array of bounty, including vegetables and fruits, flowers and plants, bakery, herbs, spices, and more! 2015 Summer Rooftop Music Series - M&R Rush
M&R Rush had its beginnings in the early 70's, when a group of five high school friends from Chicago's Roseland neighborhood had a dream of making it in the music business. In 1980, "The Loop" radio in Chicago chose M&R Rush to be on their first hometown album, and the song "Rock & Roll Chicago", written and performed by M&R Rush, became the most requested song off the album. Recently reunited for special tours, M&R Rush has shared the stage with Styx, Survivor, Sammy Hagar, Judas Priest, Black Oak Arkansas, Head East and others. The excitement continues with the band’s 2015 Ready...Set...Rock Tour!, playing their own hits as well as other classic rockers from Styx, Led Zeppelin, Foreigner and more! The Steepwater Band’s latest album “Live & Humble” was recorded in Chicago on 4/20/13 at the now defunct Ace Bar on West Fullerton Avenue. Formed in Chicago back in 1998, The Steepwater Band’s signature sound is a nod to early British blues, combined with a modern, raw and gutsy musical approach. Although the band got their start as devotees of delta blues, they have since been expanding on their influences, absorbing everything from Psychedelia to Americana, from Jazz to 50’s Rock n’ Roll Music.
