"Bunny Wabbit" Run 2015

24th Annual Civil War Days
Make plans to attend Northern Illinois' largest Civil War reenactment. The Lake County Discovery Museum is proud to present the 23rd annual Civil War Days encampment. The event features infantry, cavalry and artillery re-enactors, as well as musicians, sutlers, medical personnel and civilians. A large-scale battle reenactment, ongoing drills, kids' activities, and Civil War era shopping are available both days.

3rd Annual Run to Zero 5K
The 3rd annual Run to Zero 5K takes place on a scenic, point-to-point course in early spring to kick off the running season. Run includes a single loop, bringing you right back to the North Bay Pavilion where the Finish Line Celebration will be in full swing! With no hills and a few curves as the course follows the outline of the preserve, it is walkable in 45 minutes, so people can walk, run or both! The event also includes refreshments, entertainment, and post-race festivities complete with live music, games and activities

A Gift: Selections from the Cleve Carney Bequest
In 2014, Elmhurst Art Museum was bequeathed nearly 300 works from the collection of Cleve Carney (1939-2013), a longtime Board member, donor and supporter of the museum. The largest gift in EAM's history, these paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and video installations by an international group of artists will be a significant addition to the collection, broadening the scope of the museum's holdings of contemporary art. This presentation highlights select work from the donation and serves as a tribute to the vision, the patronage and the generosity of Cleve Carney, who will be truly missed.
