2015 U.S. Amateur Championship
The U.S. Amateur is the premier amateur golf championship for players from around the world. Past winners include Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods
Alsip Street Fair

Annual Fishing Derby
Fish for free. The Department of Natural Resources annually allows fishing without a license the first weekend of June, so join us to promote fishing as a sport and as a family-friendly outdoor activity. You must bring your own bait, tackle and pole. In this case, the early worm catches the fish!

This is a 3 day extravaganza of wild entertainment such as Local H, Puddle of MUDD on Thursday, Salt-n-Pepa and Vanilla Ice on Friday. As well as RaeLynn, Josh Thompson and Aaron Tippin on Saturday. Festival 2015: The Power of Music - Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra
The Power of Music is a dynamic, weekend-long exploration of the powers derived from music. The festival opens with the screening of a powerful new film documenting the use of Beethoven's 9th Symphony to affect change in different cultural and social contexts. Day two starts with an afternoon lecture by renowned musicologist, Jason Geary, on the power of music to persuade and its uses in mass media, and finishes with an evening recital by acclaimed Venezuelan pianist, Gabriela Martinez. The festival concludes on day three with a showcase of the power of music to enrich and enhance the lives of young area musicians, with a showcase of local talent. Festival passes are $50, and include admission to all events.
First Midwest Bank Half Marathon & 10K
Be a part of the 7th annual First Midwest Bank Half Marathon and enjoy one of the Midwest's finest events of its kind. Proceeds will benefit American Cancer Society for Prostate Cancer and Research, The South West Special Recreation Association and Lake Katherine Nature Center & Botanic Gardens.

Frankfort Fall Festival
The Frankfort Fall Festival is ranked in the top 15 shows to visit by Sunshine Artist. There are 300 artisan from 30 states selling hand-crafted items at our show which includes local civic organizations selling food items, a carnival, entertainment and a community parade.
Frankfort Half Marathon
The Frankfort Half Marathon will begin and end in the beautiful historic district of downtown Frankfort. The race will commence right outside the door of Running Excels on the Old Plank Trail and run westward. After 2.7 miles of running on the scenic, tree-lined Old Plank Trail, the racers will turn off into the Hickory Creek Forest Preserve. The rolling hills of the forest preserve will provide a picturesque tour for the runners as they reach the halfway and turn-around point in the race. The runners will then proceed back through the forest preserve and to the Old Plank Trail for their final journey towards the finish line and the post-race party on the Breidert Green. 7AM.
