2015 Christkindl Holiday Festival
Come to downtown Barrington for the annual Christkindl Festival. This is an open-air event during the holiday season featuring authentic German food, live entertainment, drinks, fun activities for families and kids crafts, live reindeer, carousel & train rides, Gingerbread House competition and even Santa's house. 3rd Annual Color Aloft Balloon Festival
Bring the family out for this exciting new event held at Central Park in Grayslake. The Color Aloft Festival will begin with hot air balloons being inflated and compete in a "Fox and Hounds" contest in which competing balloons seek to land closest to the 'Fox'. Balloons will be retrieved and return to the park. After dark they will be internally illuminated by their burners and glow. Enjoy family activities, a Civil War Era baseball game, live music and food vendors.
43rd Annual Gurnee Days Celebration
Gurnee Days returns this week for 4 days of family fun. Activities include a bicycle rodeo, live entertainment, Farmers Market, Gurnee Idol, golf tournament, and amusement rides, a 10K race, baby contest, rib fest and eating contest, fireworks, a pancake breakfast, parade, Scoop the Loop Car Show, petting zoo, pony rides, a talent show, exhibitors, games, food booths and stage events. 61st Art Fair on the Square
Art fair consisting of selected exhibitors' work in a variety of disciplines including: ceramics, digital art, drawing/pastels, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, graphics/printmaking, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture & wood. Silhouetted against classical architecture and stately mature trees, the artists set up their outdoor galleries around historic Market Square. Lake County Count-I-Con
Lake County’s biggest comic, toy, game and art convention. Children and adult costume contests, skits, and entertainment hosted on our stage both days, Aussie Pet Care’s pet costume contest, Magic the Gathering tournaments all day, and Brass City Games will be hosting drafts, Commander, and standard MtG tournaments all weekend. Lake Zurich's Farmer's Market
Enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables along with pies, doughnuts, Wisconsin cheese, dips and sausage, fresh made cookies, gluten free snacks, eggs, poultry, breads, soaps and much more. Sharpening by Kris, who sharpens knives, garden tools, skates and more, will also be there. Also local artisans will be displaying artwork and handcrafted items. Market held at Paulus Park.
