2016 STIHL Timbersports U.S. Pro and Collegiate Championships
The STIHL Timbersports® Series assembles the world's top lumberjack athletes to compete in the Original Extreme Sport. The Series is seen by millions viewers annually in over 62 countries around the world on networks like ABC, Eurosport, and ESPN, where it is now recognized as the second longest running show behind only 'SportsCenter'. Athletes compete in a variety of disciplines based on traditional logging skills to determine the best all-around lumberjack. Disciplines include Hot Saw, Single Buck, Springboard Chop, Standing Block Chop, Stock Saw and Underhand Chop. Schedule: July 15 1PM-5PM, 7PM-10PM; July 16 5PM-9PM.

Adult Fishing Derby
Pack a lunch and bring your favorite fishing pole. We provide one container of bait! Prizes valued at hundreds of dollars will be awarded. The shoreline fishing derby is for ages 16 and older. Registration is required; call 708-534-8499. Day-of registration begins at 7AM. Awards will be announced from 12-1PM. Admission Fee $10. 7AM-1PM.
Annual Art Show & Sale

For the fine appreciation of quilt making attend this show and see hundreds of quilts on display; along with quilt making demonstrations. There will be quilt vendors and food concessions; plus raffle tickets that will be sold at the door for a quilt drawing.

Kankakee history comes to life with the guided history walk through Mound Grove Cemetery. Actors will portray historical figures sharing their lives and times in Kankakee County. Tours are at 11 a.m and 2 p.m.

Bridgeview and Toyota Park will host the three-day debut of the Chicago Open Air music festival, which will feature performances by more than 60 rock music artists, an outdoor Gourmet Man Food and craft beer village and other entertainment.
Chicago Southland Dragon Boat Festival
The dragons are coming to Blue Island for the inaugural Chicago Southland Dragon Boat Festival. Watch these long 20-seat boats with a dragon decoration on the outside mimic the old war canoes of ancient Asian past. This ancient Chinese sport has become one of the fierce competitions throughout the world, and is growing rapidly in the Southeastern and Midwestern United States. 9AM-3PM.

Frankfort Fall Festival
The Frankfort Fall Festival is ranked in the top 15 shows to visit by Sunshine Artist. There are 300 artisan from 30 states selling hand-crafted items at our show which includes local civic organizations selling food items, a carnival, entertainment and a community parade.
Gaelic Park Irish Fest
Irish Fest brings together the best in Irish music from America, Canada and Europe. In addition to all of the music, there will be Irish sports, dancing, theater & story-telling, a petting zoo, Irish dogs and ponies, and Irish import stories. For the little people, there are magicians, puppets, jugglers, and clowns, and most importantly, unlimited carnival rides are included in the admission price in addition to free parking.
