Lake County Count-I-Con
Lake County’s biggest comic, toy, game and art convention. Children and adult costume contests, skits, and entertainment hosted on our stage both days, Aussie Pet Care’s pet costume contest, Magic the Gathering tournaments all day, and Brass City Games will be hosting drafts, Commander, and standard MtG tournaments all weekend. There will also be massive video game tournaments with different console and PC gaming tournaments. Windy City Dub Fest
The event will include VW and Audi judging contest for categories of 'Best of'. Winners will take home an award. Online registration will be available in May of 2015. Car Clubs are welcome and will not be limited to just VW’s and Audi’s and will be open to all makes and models. Come with a car or just as a spectator. Beach Fest 2015 - Annual Village Festival

Twilight Shuffle 5K Run
Run through the historic neighborhoods of the east side of Libertyville. Professional timing. Families are encouraged (no children under 9) to run. After finishing the course, all participants are invited to join their fellow racers for a fabulous post-race party (including light dinner and non-alcoholic drinks for all registered participants) at the new Mickey Finn's Brewery. No registrations will be accepted or processed after 12pm on race day.
Rockin' in the Park
Rockin' in the Park is a summer-long concert series from May 24 - September 6 starting at 7:00pm. The festival features live bands, fireworks and food and beverage tents from the restaurants located within MB Park. The festival is located on the green lawn activity area in the center of the Park. There are picnic tables available, however we suggest bringing lawn chairs and blankets. Outside food and beverages, and coolers are prohibited. (All concerts/fireworks start at 7:00pm and end by 10:00pm)
4th Annual All Camaro Show

Legions of Craft Beer
Plans are in motion for the first Legions of Craft Beer. This event will include at least 30 beer vendors, Gurnee restaurants, food trucks and a wide range of bands. There will also be a shuttle service from the Metra train in Libertyville and Waukegan for the attendees from out of the area. Please watch for updated information.
50th Annual Antique Car Club of America Car Show and Car Corral
The AACA joins forces with Volo Auto Museum to put on the premier summer car show. Known as "The Country Club for Car Shows." Come out and enjoy family fun, a beer and wine garden, awards and the Betty Boop Outdoor grill. Volo's park is beautifully groomed with thousands of trees, restroom facilities and more. Come look at the cars, bring one to sell, parts to sell or buy one!
58th Annual Des Plaines River Canoe and Kayak Marathon
This is the second oldest continual canoe race in the United States. The race is 18½ miles on the beautiful and historic Des Plaines River. There are numerous classes to accommodate people of all ages and levels, with a new 5.25 mile Minithon, starts at the Potawatomie Woods in Wheeling, option possible for non-competitors seeking a shorter course that ends at the customary Finish Line. Note that while, as in the past, Marathon paddlers may still take out at the halfway point at Rivershire Park in Lincolnshire, you must now arrange your own car shuttle to or from this site! Lake Zurich Area Triathlon
The area's premier USAT sanctioned Olympic distance triathlon continues its' tradition in Lake Zurich with the Lake Zurich Area Triathlon at Paulus Park. In addition to the one loop swim, the event will feature an updated bike and run course that will primarily be flat and fast. Register now through 11:59pm July 10. There will be No race day registration.
Lake Zurich's Farmer's Market
Enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables along with pies, doughnuts, Wisconsin cheese, dips and sausage, fresh made cookies, gluten free snacks, eggs, poultry, breads, soaps and much more. Sharpening by Kris, who sharpens knives, garden tools, skates and more, will also be there. Also local artisans will be displaying artwork and handcrafted items. Market held at Paulus Park.

North Aurora Days
The Village of North Aurora is proud to continue the North Aurora Days tradition of providing a fun-filled weekend of activities and entertainment for the whole family in our great community. The sponsors, volunteers, and participants of North Aurora Days have been working hard to plan and provide a great celebration filled with fun for the entire family. This year’s festival will begin on Friday, August 7th with various events during the day. The emergency vehicle parade kicks off the Friday night festivities leading the spectators to our main stage, where they will enjoy a variety of food, beverages, and musical entertainment. Saturday, August 8th will be filled with a 5/10k race, fishing derby, Touch-a-Truck and more all ending on Sunday, August 9th with the fun filled pet parade.
Designed for experienced triathletes and beginning participants. Triathlon includes a 300 meter swim, 6 mile bike course (helmets required), and a 3 mile run. This event is good for getting in shape for more ambitious triathlons. There are no age group awards, everyone who finishes is a winner.
