North Aurora Days
The Village of North Aurora is proud to continue the North Aurora Days tradition of providing a fun-filled weekend of activities and entertainment for the whole family in our great community. The sponsors, volunteers, and participants of North Aurora Days have been working hard to plan and provide a great celebration filled with fun for the entire family. This year’s festival will begin on Friday, August 7th with various events during the day. The emergency vehicle parade kicks off the Friday night festivities leading the spectators to our main stage, where they will enjoy a variety of food, beverages, and musical entertainment. Saturday, August 8th will be filled with a 5/10k race, fishing derby, Touch-a-Truck and more all ending on Sunday, August 9th with the fun filled pet parade.
Rockin' for Reptiles
Midwest Museum of Natural History - Admission: $6 - Starting at 12pm Rock out at the Museum’s annual outdoor event! Lake Zurich Area Triathlon
The area's premier USAT sanctioned Olympic distance triathlon continues its' tradition in Lake Zurich with the Lake Zurich Area Triathlon at Paulus Park. In addition to the one loop swim, the event will feature an updated bike and run course that will primarily be flat and fast. Register now through 11:59pm July 10. There will be No race day registration.
Deerfield Park District's Annual Deer Dash
Deer Dash begins at Jaycee Park and features a 5K race, 10K race, and 1-mile fun run designed for both beginning and experienced runners. Families may come out together and enjoy the event. Youth (8 years and up), teen and adult participants may participate in any of the running venues. Fees (which include a T-shirt, race packet and refreshments) are as follows, on or before May 2: $20/Residents; $25/Non-Residents; after May 2: $25/Residents; $30/Non-Residents.
Designed for experienced triathletes and beginning participants. Triathlon includes a 300 meter swim, 6 mile bike course (helmets required), and a 3 mile run. This event is good for getting in shape for more ambitious triathlons. There are no age group awards, everyone who finishes is a winner. Lake Zurich's Farmer's Market
Enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables along with pies, doughnuts, Wisconsin cheese, dips and sausage, fresh made cookies, gluten free snacks, eggs, poultry, breads, soaps and much more. Sharpening by Kris, who sharpens knives, garden tools, skates and more, will also be there. Also local artisans will be displaying artwork and handcrafted items. Market held at Paulus Park.
Windmill City Festival

43rd Annual Gurnee Days Celebration
