Bob Galloway Memorial Amish Country Bike Tour
Hosted by the Decatur Bicycle Club and the Arthur Association of Commerce, riders can choose from up to 100 miles of rides around scenic Illinois Amish Country. Well marked routes with little traffic and Amish country shops along the way and the Great Pumpkin Patch too. Rest stops with snacks, fruit, and drinks along the routes. All routes are sagged. Nearly 600 riders register, making this one of the biggest bicycle tours in Illinois. Starting point is the Arthur Community Building.
Bluegrass in the Gardens
Rockome Gardens hosts its annual bluegrass music event with some of the Midwest’s most talented bands. Featuring Bankesters, Tommy Brown & County Line Grass, Trinity River, Potters Wheel, Chris Talley Trio, Cornfields & Crossroads, Burie Family and Dog 1. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the outdoor stage shows. In case of rain, concerts will be held in the Big Red Barn. Free Camping- no services. Lodging at Best Western motel in Arcola; ask for 'Bluegrass Festival' rate.

One day festival to see demonstrations of antique farm equipment at The Great Pumpkin Patch, nestled in beautiful Amish country in Arthur, Illinois. You'll be amazed at how old-style farm equipment works.
Arcola Broom Corn Festival
Arcola celebrates its heritage as the “Broom Corn Capital of the World” with this renowned festival held in downtown. Visitors can see broom activities, arts/crafts, great food, free entertainment, National Broom Sweeping Contest on Main Street and gigantic parade featuring the famous Lawn Rangers.
A Touch of Arthur
A day-long display of products and services produced and provided by many of the 400 businesses within the Arthur area. Many country businesses have special promotions during this event. You will have opportunities to interact with the business owners who actually make and sell these products and services. There plenty of activities for children such as camel rides, inflatable games and pony rides. Located in Downtown Arthur and throughout the Arthur area from 9am-4pm.
Arthur Amish Country Christmas Kickoff
The Christmas lighted parade steps off at 5:30pm and will showcase Santa & Mrs. Claus through downtown Arthur. Immediately following the parade, Santa will visit with children and parents in Knights Court downtown to start collecting those early Christmas requests. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served during his visit. Throughout the day, businesses in the downtown area as well as the countryside will feature early Christmas bargains and host Open Houses.
Central Illinois Braggin' Rights KCBS BBQ Competition
Some of the top KCBS and backyard BBQ teams in the Midwest compete for $14,000 in cash prizes. Featuring BBQ equipment and BBQ food vendors, kids activities, and close up looks at some of the big time BBQ teams you have seen on the Food Channel.
Arthur Amish Country Cheese Festival
This 3-day outdoor family street festival features 75-80 craft and food vendors, live entertainment all three days, a ceremonial cutting of a 300 pound wheel of cheese, 700 pounds of cheese given away, a 60 foot sub sandwich given away, antique tractor show, kiddie tractor pull, camel rides, stagecoach rides, buggy rides. Also a parade on Monday, and a kid-zone with games, inflatables, pony rides, rock climbing wall, 5K/10K run, car show and much more.
