Lockport Summer Fireworks Show
On Friday, July 3rd at dusk, (not July 4th), the City of Lockport and the Lockport Township Park District will sponsor the summer Fireworks Show. This free event will start at dusk in Dellwood Park (18th & Lawrence). Rain date “to be determined.” The City has allocated more funds for the fireworks show, so be sure to come out and see the best show in years!
Dinner & A Little History: Female Spies of the South
Led by a host of mostly female scholars, new research has revealed that women were involved in the Civil War efforts of both the North and the South, in ways most people never expected. Speaker: Amanda Fesperman of the Illinois Valley Community College has been studying women in politics and history for the past 25 years and will lead an informative and fascinating discussion.

A River Through History - The Des Plaines Valley Rendezvous
A River Through History is a living history reenactment of early American life at Columbia Woods Forest Preserve, as it was on the Illinois frontier prior to 1848, with emphasis on our local history from the fur trade era to the canal era. An exciting, entertaining and educational experience for all ages. We strive to create a better understanding and appreciation of our history by allowing the public and the reenactors to mingle, both as witnesses and participants, in our event. Finally, we seek to have the most authentic and highest quality reenactors and trade goods to represent our vision of the rendezvous to promote and enhance the historic, recreational and economic development of this new style National Park.
Bolingbrook's 4th of July
The Village of Bolingbrook and the Bolingbrook Golf Club presents 4th of July 2015, “The All American Celebration.” There will be lots of action, hot bands and food this Fourth of July, starting at 2pm. Free Admission and fun for all ages. Huge selection of kids' activities including inflatables and face painting. Calling all kids! Come by bike or on foot to Timberline Park at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the 9th Annual Kops-N-Kidz Parade. Join the officers at Centennial Park (Lemont Park District) for lunch, pony rides, a ride on the model train, demonstrations, great prizes and lots of fun activities until 2:00 p.m. Great family fun.

French Connection Day
French Connection Day celebrates Cantigny's French roots, which began when Col. Robert McCormick served with the Army's 1st Infantry Division during World War I at the Battle of Cantigny, near Paris. Great food and entertainment with a French flair are highlights of this free one-day festival.
Whole Hog Festival- Custom Car and Bike Show
The First Annual Whole Hog Festival is a new City of Lockport event that's fun for the whole family. The event celebrates custom cars and bikes by inviting owners in the region to show off their rides. Enjoy BBQ from variety of vendors and live music during the event. Time: 11:00am - 6:00pm.

1st Annual Pierogi Polish Fest
The four-day festival will feature: live music (Polka, Polish dance music and your favorite local cover bands), traditional Polish dancers, carnival rides for all ages, Polish beer and other beverages and of course, among a vast selection of other tasty specials, the star of the fest, Pierogis!
The gallery includes a unique collection of oils, watercolors, pastels, graphite and colored pencil, prints, photographs, sculptures, pottery, and miniatures.

Rockin' For the Troops
Join us for the tenth annual Rockin' for the Troops fundraiser, with special appearances by the cover band Maggie Speaks, the Chicago Blues Allstars, and the Motown tribute band The Voices.
