2014 Illinois Paddlesports Festival
The 6th Annual Illinois Paddlesports Festival takes place on the 2nd weekend in June, in Aurora’s beautiful Phillips Park on Mastodon Lake. Admission is free. So come on out and enjoy two full days of paddling fun and action.
The Warrior Dash in Channahon, IL is the world's largest running series. Held on challenging and rugged terrain, people come from all over to participate in feats of courage and strength; like sprinting over fire, trudging through mud and scaling at least 12 obstacles during this fierce 5K. From couch potatoes to novice runners to extreme athletes, Warrior Dash truly is an event for all athletic abilities.
Based on the experiences of creator Jonathan Larson – and loosely based on the opera La Boheme – Rent immerses you in the lives of 8 young artists and musicians living in the Lower East Side of the Bohemian Alphabet City. From a poet and a musician to a lawyer and a drag queen, their lives are intertwined as they fight to survive in the Big Apple and, in some cases, fight for their mortality from HIV. In the end, it’s friendship, love and the ability to maintain their individuality that keeps these souls together.

Tour de Cure
Tour de Cure is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone: occasional riders, families and experienced cyclists. Route distances range from 10, 20, 35, 62, or 100 miles and every route is supported with rest stops, food to fuel the journey, and fans to cheer on riders who are supporting the American Diabetes Association.
3 Redneck Tenors

The 3 Redneck Tenors are a multiple-NASCAR pileup of highbrow and lowbrow, combining the chicken-fried culture of the Deep South with the virtuoso vocalizations of classical music and opera. Billy Joe, Billy Bob and Billy Billee may just be a trio of good ol’ boys, but they can hit the high notes as easily as they can chug down a six pack of lite beer. You’ll follow their adventures from the family hog pen to Carnegie Hall, as the whole world discovers the amazing voices within the muddy overalls.
