Come celebrate the arrival of Lewis and Clark at Camp River Dubois. This annual event commemorates December 12, the day William Clark and the men of the detachment arrived at the confluence of the "Riviere a Dubois," Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. This event will center on walking your dogs on a two mile course. There will be dog trainers, groomers, and dog adoptions from local societies. At 1:00 p.m. a guest speaker will be hosted within the Interpretive Center's theater. The event is only on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Dogs will only be allowed in the theater between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Dogs may be walked through and around Camp River Dubois. Meet your favorite Super Hero during the Super Hero Shuffle 5K/10K Run & Walk and Family Festival at the Confluence Tower Saturday, Sept. 10. This event is sponsored by and benefits Isaac's Rays of Hope, a non-profit organization supporting children with cancer and their families. Join forces with Isaac's Rays of Hope as we honor our smallest but mightiest Super Heroes, kids fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses! Dress in your favorite super hero costume (not required) and enjoy a scenic stroll or run down the Madison County Confluence Trail near the Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower passing the Lewis and Clark State Historic Site and the meeting of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers! Course is primarily flat with a few minor inclines. Strollers and wagons welcome.
Come to the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower and enjoy free live music in the new outdoor amphitheater. Well known musicians from around the region will be featured during this fall's "Rockin' on the Rivers" Concerts at the Confluence. The concerts will be held for seven consecutive Sundays, beginning Sept. 4 and running through Oct. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be available.

Lindendale Park offers a tranquil setting where nearly 70 professional artists display their works of fine art. Festival attendees can shop for works of art in twelve categories. Children, too, can shop for just $5.00 at a special art gallery of work donated by the artists.
