Taste of Chicago
Taste of Chicago is the nation's premier outdoor food festival showcasing the diversity of Chicago's dining community. Chicago Blues Festival

Millennium Park Summer Film Series
Calling all movie buffs! Head to Millennium Park on Tuesday evenings this summer to enjoy free movies at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. It's now home to the latest and most sophisticated outdoor screen with sound projected from the Pavilion's state-of-the-art sound system. The images are bright, clear and visible from the front row to the back of the Great Lawn, so there isn't a bad seat in the park! Be sure to grab a blanket and pack a picnic dinner to enjoy with your friends and family.

The Frankfort Fall Festival is ranked in the top 15 shows to visit by Sunshine Artist. There are 300 artisan from 30 states selling hand-crafted items at our show which includes local civic organizations selling food items, a carnival, entertainment and a community parade.

Chicago's Memorial Day Parade
Chicago's Memorial Day Parade honors all men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. The Wreath Laying Ceremony will begin at 11am at the Eternal Flame on Daley Plaza (Dearborn and Washington Streets). The parade will step off at noon and proceed south on State Street from Lake Street to Van Buren Street. The Chicago parade is considered one of the largest Memorial Day parades in the nation. Since 1870, Memorial Day parades have graced the streets of Chicago. Wreath Laying Ceremony begins at 11 am; Parade begins at 12 Noon
Chicago Jazz Festival

Midwest Wizard of Oz Fest
The Midwest Wizard of Oz Festival has been a long standing tradition began in 1982 when Wizard of Oz store owner, Jean Nelson, came up with the idea to create an Oz-themed festival. Since then it has grown to be one of the biggest festivals in the nation that produced crowds of about 30,000 people each year.

Brick by Brick at the Museum of Science and Industry
Explore the power of play at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago’s new temporary exhibition, Brick by Brick, opening March 10. Windy City Smokeout: BBQ & Country Music Fest presented by Bub City returns for its fourth year! 51st Annual Midsommarfest
Midsommarfest is Andersonville’s annual summer street festival, celebrating its 51st year in 2016! Nearly 50,000 people throng Clark Street from Foster to Catalpa for two days and three nights of music, dancing, kids’ entertainment, and delicious food. Chicago Southland Dragon Boat Festival
The dragons are coming to Blue Island for the inaugural Chicago Southland Dragon Boat Festival. Watch these long 20-seat boats with a dragon decoration on the outside mimic the old war canoes of ancient Asian past. Chicago Dragon Boat Race for Literacy
Experience the excitement as teams compete in a fast-paced race along the Chicago River on beautifully decorated dragon boats at the 15th Annual Chicago Dragon Boat Race for Literacy. The Chinese Dragon Boat Race dates back to over 2,000 years and is a popular sport amongst Chinese and Asian communities all over the world. Started in 2000, the Chicago Dragon Boat Race is a family-fun activity enjoyed by the residents of Chinatown and the surrounding neighborhoods.
