Taste of Chicago
Taste of Chicago is the nation's premier outdoor food festival showcasing the diversity of Chicago's dining community. The delicious array of food served at Taste of Chicago is complemented by music and exciting activities for the entire family. Every summer since 1980, Chicago's beautiful Grant Park on the city's magnificent lakefront has been home to the world's largest food festival.
Magnificent Mile Lights Festival

The BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, the nation’s largest evening holiday celebration, jump starts the holiday season on Saturday, November 22 with a full day of family friendly activities, concerts by top musical artists and the best holiday shopping. The day’s excitement culminates with a grand evening parade down Michigan Avenue marshaled by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, illuminating one million lights on 200 trees. The parade concludes with a grand finale fireworks show over the Chicago River.

Dogs on boats? Yes! Bring your pooch on a leash and enjoy quality time with your dog while cruising on Chicago's waterways. This tour highlights dog-friendly hotels, restaurants, dog parks and fire hydrants. Enjoy the cool breeze in your hair (and fur!) aboard the Skyline Queen which offers plenty of safe outdoor-seating. Dogs may choose to sit on your lap, in a seat or on the deck. Don't worry, we have one-restroom for humans and one lined with newspapers for your pet. Water bowls are also onboard. Grant Park Music Festival
The Grant Park Music Festival is the nation’s only free, outdoor classical music series of its kind. Each summer, the Festival presents ten weeks of free classical concerts to all of Chicago at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. Audiences can watch as the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus and guest artists rehearse upcoming performances. Rehearsals take place Tuesday-Friday afternoons all Season long. The 15th annual Movies in the Parks series kicks off June 4, 2015 and features more than 240 outdoor screenings of current and classic movies in parks across the city. 34th Annual American Music Festival
Americana and roots music fans will find a full menu of talent at FitzGerald's 34th Annual American Music Festival brought to you by FitzGerald's. The summer 3-day event features more than 50 artists from Chicago and around the country. FitzGerald's American Music Festival takes place rain or shine on three stages -- club, tent and SideBar. Windy City Smokeout: BBQ & Country Music Fest presented by Bub City returns for its third year! This summer festival brings together the best of live country music, beer and BBQ to our city's popular River North neighborhood. Memory, an exhibit of portraits
Memory is an exhibition of portraits that reflect less the "sitter's" likeness than their psychological state. Works include paintings, colored pencil drawings, prints and pastels by Judith Roth, Ellen Holtzblatt, John Smolko and Joseph Taylor.

A River Through History - The Des Plaines Valley Rendezvous
A River Through History is a living history reenactment of early American life at Columbia Woods Forest Preserve, as it was on the Illinois frontier prior to 1848, with emphasis on our local history from the fur trade era to the canal era. An exciting, entertaining and educational experience for all ages. We strive to create a better understanding and appreciation of our history by allowing the public and the reenactors to mingle, both as witnesses and participants, in our event. Finally, we seek to have the most authentic and highest quality reenactors and trade goods to represent our vision of the rendezvous to promote and enhance the historic, recreational and economic development of this new style National Park.
Fall Hayride and Campfire
