Lambs Farm Famous Farmyard
The Lambs Farm Farmyard will open daily March 30th through November 1, 2015. Come and enjoy Lambs Farm's famous Farmyard. Meet Miss Wiggles, the 450-pound pig with an affinity for Bavarian Crème donuts and Oreo Cookies®, and meet all of the new miniature animals, including Levi the miniature horse. Climb into the petting zoo with goats, sheep and lambs. Check out the llamas, alpacas, cows, horses, ducks and more. Enjoy a ride on the old-fashion carousel or the train. Then challenge friends and family to a round of mini golf! Farmyard memberships are available. Day passes for all activities available for $8 for adults and $12 for children 2-12.

3rd Annual Color Aloft Balloon Festival
Bring the family out for this exciting new event held at Central Park in Grayslake. The Color Aloft Festival will begin with hot air balloons being inflated and compete in a "Fox and Hounds" contest in which competing balloons seek to land closest to the 'Fox'. Balloons will be retrieved and return to the park. After dark they will be internally illuminated by their burners and glow. It’s a great night as you don’t have to bring a dish to pass or talk to relatives. If you have never tried a turkey testicle, this is your chance! No need to worry about the weather the festival is held under one huge heated tent, with plenty of portable potties available. The bar is open but the number of people allowed inside at any one time is limited, as it can become pretty packed. The Annual Waukegan Air Show, Wings Over Waukegan, is a great time for the whole family and has been extended to a 2-day show. 3rd Annual Run to Zero 5K
The 3rd annual Run to Zero 5K takes place on a scenic, point-to-point course in early spring to kick off the running season. Run includes a single loop, bringing you right back to the North Bay Pavilion where the Finish Line Celebration will be in full swing! With no hills and a few curves as the course follows the outline of the preserve, it is walkable in 45 minutes, so people can walk, run or both! The event also includes refreshments, entertainment, and post-race festivities complete with live music, games and activities
Deer Park St. Paddy’s 5k Run/Walk
The Deer Park St. Paddy’s 5k features live Irish music to get everyone in the spirit, pucker up as you run beneath the on course kiss me I'm Irish arch. At the finish enjoy green soda pop, chocolate gold coins and more Irish inspired treats. The course weaves through the Deer Park Town Center and then onto the streets of the Village of Deer Park. Nearly Sane Trail Half Marathon
The Nearly Sane Trail Half Marathon will be 13.1 miles through the trails of Half Day Forest Preserve (permit pending), onto the trails of the Des Plaines River trail and back to the festival area where you can enjoy your well-deserved beer and hot dog! The start/finish area will be located at Shelter C of Half Day Forest Preserve in Lake County and take place on the beautiful trails of Lake County, which are some of the best that Chicagoland has to offer!
