Touchstone Energy Balloon Fest
Come and enjoy watching as these balloons are filled and then take off for various areas. Friday night is a launch from Forest Park, Saturday morning, they will launch from various locations and try to hit their targets as they float through the air. There will be a Balloon glow and basket burn at the Dam Spillway area Saturday night with food and entertainment. You can meet the pilots on Friday evening. Sunday morning will be another opportunity to watch. These colorful balloons will be launched daily (weather permitting) and you can watch as they fly and do tasks around the Lake Shelbyville area.
Findlay Walleye Festival
This yearly festival has plenty of entertainment, food and fun. The Walleye is a feature for the festival with the fish being served daily. There will be plenty of entertainment (bands), an ice cream social, fireworks on Friday (which will be moved to Saturday if there is rain), kids games, a farmer's market, tractor pull, car, truck, & motorcycle show, a 5K event and plenty more. A large parade starts at 10am on Saturday and there will be plenty of kids activities and games both days.
Windsor Harvest Picnic
Come and enjoy this family-friendly festival which is in its 118th year. Entertainment comes to you in gospel, country and rock, with entertainers from as far away as Australia.. Fountain City Amusements provide a carnival atmosphere with plenty of food served by various organizations as well as the Ice Cream Social. There is also a 5K run/walk, a pedal tractor pull, parade, and a raffle drawing.
Scarecrow Daze Festival
During the 18th Annual Scarecrow Daze Festival, the entire city of Shelbyville is decorated with scarecrows. With a different theme every year, entrants decorate their homes and businesses to the theme. There is also a large parade on Saturday, kids' games, a beer tent, music, a quilt show, and plenty of food and crafts, in downtown Shelbyville. Held in conjunction with Touchstone Energy Balloon Fest.
11th Annual Spores N More Mushroom Festival
Come and enjoy the thrill of the hunt for the elusive morel mushroom or come and bid at the auction. Friday night kicks off the event with a welcome dinner, reception and speaker in Findlay. Saturday morning, come and join the hunt for a fee. If you like morels but not the hunt, come to the auction and bid for your winning batch. The 2014 hunt and auction will be based out of Sullivan's Wyman Park.
Tower Hill Fall Festival
Held in the Village Park. This is the 28th year for the festival which has unique activites such as the Produce "500" which features vehicles made from produce from as small as a grape to as large as a watermelon. It also has a car and motorcycle show, garden tractor pulls, a tractor show, plenty of kids games a parade Saturday at 4:00 pm and entertainment along with the annual demo derby on Sunday.

Shelbyville Festival of Lights
Come to Shelbyville and take a drive through Forest Park as it is lit up for the Holiday season. These lights are put in place each year by volunteers and new lights and themed areas are added yearly. Candy Cane lane is to honor loved ones. Come enjoy the Victorian Village, Santa's Shop, the North Pole, Bethlehem, and others.
Moweaqua Pow Wow Days
Come and enjoy this family-friendly festival with plenty of food, entertainment, and vendors everyday with a parade on Saturday. All of the events at the festival are located in the downtown park.
Shelby County 4H & Jr. Fair
One of only a few fairs that still highlight their 4H and Juniors. The fair includes dog care and obedience, judging in livestock, poultry, rabbits, lambs, produce, flowers, plants, and many other subjects. The Food Shack serves plenty of great food each day of the fair manned by the various 4H Clubs in Shelby County. The fair wraps up with the popular livestock auction and team penning.
Cowden Pioneer Days
This family friendly festival is set in the city park with plenty of carnival rides, craft vendors, flea market, foods, etc. There is also an IPRA sanctioned rodeo that takes place Friday and Saturday. A demolition derby takes place on Sunday. You can also enjoy the Horseshoe tournament or the arm wrestling. There will also be a large parade Saturday morning. Tour the historical cabins set in the park along with collections.
Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Chillifest & 175th Celebration
This Two day sanctioned ICS Chili Cookoff event features the finest chili around, live entertainment, craft vendors, food, fun and of course, lots of chili or chilli - however you wish to spell it! Held in the downtown square. Chili tasting, Chili vendors, and Chamber Chili tent. Winners quality for 2015 World Championships. Also features Annual Pumpkin Cart Race, Lil Miss & Lil Mister contest, longest ponytail contest, cutest baby contest, children’s activities and local musical entertainment. Grand Parade 10:30am Saturday.
Southside Chili Shuffle Cookoff
This is now a two-day regional event at the Southside Shuffle Bar, incorporating the former Lincoln Prairie Trail Chili event formerly held in Pana, IL. Categories: Chili, Chili Verde and Salsa. Live entertainment. Entry fee applies, but admission is free.
Blacksmith Hammer In & Old Tyme Antique Tractor Show
Watch live demonstrations of the art of blacksmithing and view the antique tractors. Located at the Chautauqua Auditorium in Pana’s historical Kitchell Park on South Route 51.

International Chili Society (ICS) State event held during the Christian County Agricultural Fair. $1000 Grand Prize. Categories: Chili, Chili Verde and Salsa. Held during the Christian County Fair at the fairgrounds in Taylorville.

Pana Chamber & Pana Elks Open Car Show, Motorcycle Show & Bike Show
Now in it's 59th year, this event is a non-judged car show and a judged motorcycle show. However, several car show awards are given out including "Mayor's Choice", "Pana Elks Choice" and "Chamber Choice". There is also a swap meet for car and truck parts. Located in Kitchell Park on Route 51 South in Pana. Any vehicle welcome to enter. Food and DJ. Pool and playground in the park for the kiddies. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the day with us.
