Holly Days, sponsored by the Warrenville Park District is the City's annual holiday celebration that marks Santa's official entry into Warrenville. Guests can enjoy a warm bonfire, raffles, free horse and carriage rides, hot cider and cookies, and, of course, a visit with Santa. Local Park District and school dance troops, singers, and bands entertain attendees during the event. It is at this event that Warrenville officially turns on its holiday lights creating an array of colors for passersby along Route 56 to see. Holly Days, primarily for Warrenville residents, gives the community an opportunity to come together and kick off the holiday season.

Starved Rock Photography Club
Whether you are just beginning in photography, are an advanced amateur or a professional, you are welcome to the Starved Rock Photography Club. Monthly photography walks at Starved Rock State Park’s Lodge with club leader, Jacki Pienta. The Photography Club will meet each month throughout the year for guided walks to planned sites for photography opportunities. Members will informally exchange ideas and tips for quality nature and wildlife photos. We will meet the 4th Saturday of every month at 9am in the back of the Large Parking Lot at Starved Rock Lodge. All meetings will consist of a hike to an area of either Starved Rock State Park, Matthiessen State Park or Buffalo Rock. Sycamore Pumpkin Fest
2015 is the 54th Annual Sycamore Pumpkin Festival downtown. What started out as an idea by Wally Thurow in 1956 to offer something creative for the students of Sycamore, has grown from a neighborhood display on his front yard into the towns biggest city wide event beginning on Wednesday with the Opening Ceremony and cake cutting. The festival begins with over 1000 entries in the Lions Decorated Pumpkin Display, 2 carnivals, 2 large indoor craft shows, many non-profit vendors, and culminating with an hour and a half long parade on Sunday.
Sycamore Pumpkin Run 10K
The Sycamore 10K Pumpkin Run is headed into its 37th year! Feet will hit the street Sunday, October 25th at 9:05am. The 10K is held during Sycamore Illinois’ world famous Pumpkin Festival. This race has become a staple in the Northern Illinois race schedule. In 2014, we had over 1,800 participants running. Awards are given to the top three finishers in 11 age groups!

A Sandwich Christmas / Festival of Trees
Christmas fun begins in Sandwich! On Saturday, tour Sandwich with the Sandwich Association of Merchants “Tour of Homes.” Stop by the Festival of Trees at Timber Creek Inn & Suites and experience the magic of a holiday wonderland filled with an assortment of delightfully and uniquely decorated trees. Holiday musical entertainment is scheduled at various times throughout this free festival. Be sure to visit the Holiday Lane Craft Show and Home Business Showcase located in the convention center for a perfect holiday shopping opportunity. Also on Saturday, Secret Santa Shopping fun will be at the Sandwich Opera House. The Sandwich Old Mill Museum will be open to the public. Begin an evening of delight with the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Veterans Park and Railroad Streets. Enjoy a real carriage ride from Veterans Park. Take the trolley tour and participate in the decorating contest.
Easter in the Country
The 35th Annual Easter in the Country will be held at Sandwich schools south of Route 34 on Wells, Lions & Dayton Street. Stop by Sandwich to see beautiful crafts such as painted windows, lighted bottles, pop can jewelry, hair bows, porcelain flowers and handmade baskets. Shuttle service will be provided to each location, no strollers allowed. The $3.00 admission fee benefits the Sandwich School Music Association.

Cheap Trick at Coronado PAC
Cheap Trick may be one of the most covered bands of all time. Since the 70s they've been blending elements of pop, punk and even metal in a way that is instantly catchy and recognizable. With timeless classics such as "I Want You to Want Me," "Surrender," and "The Flame," Cheap Trick are a musical institution. With more than 5,000 performances, 20 million records sold, 29 movie soundtracks and 40 gold and platinum recording awards, the band is frequently credited as being among the most influential in rock. Cheap Trick was honored in October 2007 by the Chicago Chapter of NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences) for their contributions to the music industry and were featured in the John Varvatos Spring 2008 ad campaign.
Jackson Browne at Coronado PAC
Jackson Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2007. Jackson's career began in the mid-60s in Los Angeles and Orange County folk clubs. Except for a brief period in NYC in the late 1960s, he has always lived in Southern California. His debut album came out on David Geffen's Asylum Records in 1972. Since then, he has released fourteen studio albums and four collections of live performances. His new studio album, Standing In The Breach, is a collection of ten songs, at turns deeply personal and political, exploring love, hope, and defiance in the face of the advancing uncertainties of modern life.

There are plenty of activities to do, decorations to see, and delicious food to eat at this third annual event to celebrate the holiday season downtown.
Nicholas Conservatory - Lorikeet Exhibit
For the second year, lorikeets are landing in Rockford! These bright, colorful birds will swoop in for a stay at Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens. Inside the Conservatory, guests will find a special lorikeet house which provides guests with an intimate look into the fascinating world of the lorikeet. Visitors will be "face to beak" with the small- to medium-sized parrots known for their playful personalities, vibrant coloration, and their ability to mimic words and sounds. Lorikeets are a group of birds classified under "true parrots," and are found throughout the Australian region. Lorikeets, or lorys, have a unique brush-tipped tongue for feeding on fruits, vegetables, and flowers and are constantly looking for nectar and fruits due to their rapid metabolism. Guests will be able to purchase a nectar cup for $1 at the front desk and gift shop inside the Conservatory.
Coronado PAC - Russian Grand Ballet Presents Swan Lake
This full-length classic production of the world's most famous ballet, Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, features Russia's brightest ballet stars. Swan Lake (from 1895), together with The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, forms part of the big three of Russian nineteenth century ballets. Composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, together with choreographer Marius Petipa, raised both ballet music and dance as an art form to new heights with this piece. There's a good reason why Swan Lake is so often called the ‘ballet of all ballets.' The combination of pure romanticism, the story about love and deception and Tchaikovsky's famous ballet music all continue to reach new generations of audiences. Locktoberfest Weekends at Lockwood Park
Locktoberfest is a family fun festival, with a different theme each week! Our festival features free and low fee paid activities. Each weekend we will offer carnival rides, games, children's farm, pony rides, wagon rides, pick your own pumpkin, seasonal food, face painting, and more! Parking is free. Saturdays and Sundays in October, plus Monday, October 12.
YMCA Fall Festival at Camp Winnebago
The YMCA of Rock River Valley is teaming up with Twisted Crypt Productions to transform Camp Winnebago YMCA into the region's newest family-fun destination this fall. Family Fall Festival promises to be your family's new fall tradition complete with trick-or-treating in the Halloween Village, a two-mile corn maze, pumpkin patch, craft bazaar, live music, food and more (Saturdays and Sundays in October). Camp Winnebago YMCA, located one mile north of Rockford, rests in the wilderness just minutes from downtown. The property encompasses 150 acres and prides itself on being a year-round facility. This fall it will be decked out in a kid-friendly Halloween theme.

Celebrate the holidays at Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens. Come see sparkling holiday lights and beautiful floral displays inside the warm tropical conservatory. Outdoor grounds are also decorated for the season. On Saturdays and Sundays, Trolley Car 36 transforms into the All Aglow Express! Your ride will take you north along the Rock River to the magical North Pole, where you will be greeted by Santa's elves, make gooey s'mores, and drink some warm hot coca. While at the North Pole, you will hear the story of "The Polar Express" by Chris Van Allsburg, and receive "the first gift of Christmas" from Santa himself. Dress warmly, the Trolley is an open-air ride.

One of the most enduring shows of all time, Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son.
