Rocky Horror Picture Show with Live Shadow Cast
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is an outrageous assemblage of the most stereo-typed science fiction movies, Marvel comics, Frankie Avalon/Annette Funicello outings and rock 'n' roll of every vintage. Rated R. Featuring the live shadow cast of "Irrational Masters". Props that are not allowed are: lighters, candles or flames of any kind, large water guns, toast, hot dogs, or prunes. Prop kits will be available for purchase in the lobby before the show. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:00 pm.
Guided Walking Tour - Somonauk Street
Join Steven Bigolin as he leads guided walking tours of Sycamore’s History District – featuring the beautiful homes along Somonauk Street. Meet at the statue of Wally’ Thurow, at Somonauk and Elm Street. Bigolin will lead a tour highlighting the architecture and local history connected to Sycamore. The tour will last about an hour and a half, wear comfortable shoes. Location: Wally Thurow statue (near corner of Somonauk and Elm) Time: 1:00 p.m. Cost: $5 Per Person.

Mutt Strut 5K Run/Walk-A-Thon & Fun Fest
Mutt Strut is a 5K run/walk-a-thon benefiting TAILS Humane Society. Come out and enjoy a beautiful path through Hopkins Park and then spend the afternoon with us at the Fun Fest. This portion of the event will feature dog contest, dog demonstrations, great food, local vendors, kids activities and mores. The walk/run costs $25 per adult and $10 per youth and the fun fest is free. And don't forget fido, this a dog friendly event!
Military Tribute & Concert featuring USAF Band of Mid-America “Shades of Blue”
The military tribute will honor local first responders, military members and veterans. There will be a presentation a to honor local first responders and a Flag Honor Program with Honor Guard and Taps. There will also be a display of local fire and police equipment and K-9 unit. The evening concludes with a performance by the USAF Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble playing a free concert.
