World War II Days
World War II Days includes elaborate and realistic battles complete with tanks, artillery, armored vehicles, and exciting pyrotechnic displays. Saturday the battle shows are featured at 1:3 pm and 3:30pm. Sunday the battle time is 2:30 pm. More than 1,200 re-enactors represent the soldiers of the United States, Great Britain, France, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Italy and Japan. In addition to the action on the battlefields, enjoy the skirmishes in the Village and Woods, demonstrations and displays in the buildings, woods encampments and the ambiance of the beautiful venue. Maps of the event site will be available when visitors arrive.

Rockford ProAm Golf Tournament
The Rockford ProAm is the nation's longest-running, free-standing pro/am not associated with a professional tournament. 2014's event featured 20 amateur foursomes paired with 20 professional golfers. The foursomes play in a best-ball handicapped format, while the pros keep straight 18-hole scores. The 2015 ProAm is being held at the Rockford Country Club.

The Dirt on Dirt: Why do Madagascar's Lemurs Eat Soil?
Enjoy an afternoon learning about lemurs while the kids participate in free monkey-themed crafts! Brandon Semel, a MA in Anthropology candidate, will be discussing Madacascar's lemurs! "Madagascar is a land full of unique plants and animals, including leaping lemurs, colorful chameleons, and bulging baobab trees. This lecture presentation will last approximately 1 hour (from 12-1pm). Free monkey crafts will be available for children during the presentation. The presentation is free with museum admission.

Marseilles Fun Days
This is a week long summer family festival celebration. Marseilles Fun Days Committee decided to bring the festival back centered around one of the city's premier annual events, The Marseilles Fireman's Car Cruise. The cruise will be part of a busy Saturday, July 18. Fun Days itself will take place Monday, July 13, through Sunday, July 19. 17th Annual Biking with Beanzie
Biking with Beanzie is a recreational ride presented by Kishwaukee Kiwanis Club of DeKalb and sponsored by Kishwaukee Community Hospital.The ride route consists of primarily flat rural roads with some rolling terrain with estimated ride options of 23, 43, 63, 80, or 101 miles. All roads are well-paved, lightly traveled and posted with signs containing ride information and bits of Beanzie humor. This year also includes 3-mile, 5-mile, & 8-mile community bicycle pathway route options.
