Harvest Frolic Fall Celebration
Celebrate the arrival of autumn with Lincoln Log Cabin’s annual Harvest Frolic on Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28 from 10am to 4pm daily. Activities will take place at both the Lincoln and Sargent farms including children’s games, doll making and hearth cooking. There will also be a three-legged race, a cast iron skillet toss, two-man saw contest and a “dipping cup race” and a special scavenger hunt will be open to children 12 years of age or younger. Visitors are encouraged to take part in these period games and activities. Demonstrations, food, period music and entertainment along with our featured visiting artisans will round out the weekend programing.

Hike into History
This hiking tour is offered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights every month (excluding July and October). There's nothing better than a guided hike to see the best parts of the park and learn its rich history. Reserve your room or cabin at Starved Rock Lodge on Tuesday or Wednesday night and take a guided hike on Wednesday or Thursday morning at 9:00 am from the Lobby. When you get back from your hike, you'll enjoy lunch in the Dining Room. The hike on Tuesday and Wednesday will go to Starved Rock and French Canyon unless otherwise requested. On Thursday you will join the weekly Walkers Club and go along with them on their pre-scheduled, weekly hike. Family Cabins are excluded from packages.

Historic Trolley Tour
June through December. Board a trolley outside of the Great Hall area of the Lodge. Enjoy a historic trolley ride with stops at the Starved Rock State Park Visitor Center where you will see a short video of the area. You will also travel to the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center where you will see Starved Rock from across the river and watch as the river traffic lock through the locks. You will also travel through the village of Utica and hear about the Illinois and Michigan Canal. While aboard, the driver will narrate the history and legends of the area. Hutson Massacre Pageant
The only outdoor presentation of its kind in the area. The pageant depicts the early settlers coming to what is now Crawford County and the forming of the town of Hutsonville. The town, township and creek were all named for the massacred first family, the Isaac Hutson's. Featuring also music and food - bring your lawn chairs. Kids of all ages are invited to come play and learn about a day in the life of John Deere customers.
