Mighty Richland Players Dessert Theater "Opal's Million Dollar Duck"
While rooting through Opal's Antique Junque Shop, two summer stock leads come across a painting that looks a lot like an old master that disappeared from the local art museum. In order to collect the insurance themselves, the divas, Desmond and Queenie, try to acquire the painting from Opal, who has other plans for the painting. The plot thickens hilariously when the two stars resort to everything from outrageous flattery to knockout drops trying to get their hands on the picture. Hutson Massacre Pageant
The only outdoor presentation of its kind in the area. The pageant depicts the early settlers coming to what is now Crawford County and the forming of the town of Hutsonville. The town, township and creek were all named for the massacred first family, the Isaac Hutson's. Featuring also music and food - bring your lawn chairs. Pageant is free but a free-will offering will be taken. Event begins at dusk. Learn the history of Hutsonville, tour the museum, Hutson cabin, inn, country store, barn, loom room and Hutson Chapel.

All gingerbread entries must depict a firefighting themed architectural structure, real or imaginary and everything must be edible. The exhibit opens and will be judged on Saturday November 29. All gingerbread FIREhouses will remain on exhibit at the Aurora Regional Fire Museum though Christmas.

12th Annual Sugar Creek Opera
Featuring the performance, a lightly staged Die Fledermaus, is a German operetta by Johann Strauss II, and will be sung in English. Helen Todd will sing the role of Rosalinde and Michael Mayes will appear as Gabriel von Eisenstein.

Each year the Village of Montgomery's Historic Preservation Commission hosts a Cemetery Walk at Riverside Cemetery on the first Wednesday of October at 7:00 p.m. Guests are led through the cemetery in small groups to meet the fascinating "ghosts" of early pioneers and other residents of the cemetery.

The Gazebo Art Festival is held on the outdoor grounds of Chandler Park in downtown Macomb! This setting is a wonderful place for the public to view art, chat with artist and enjoy live performances and music from the Al Sears Jazz Music Festival. There will also be activities and fun for children!
Hike into History
This hiking tour is offered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights every month (excluding July and October). There's nothing better than a guided hike to see the best parts of the park and learn its rich history. Reserve your room or cabin at Starved Rock Lodge on Tuesday or Wednesday night and take a guided hike on Wednesday or Thursday morning at 9:00 am from the Lobby. When you get back from your hike, you'll enjoy lunch in the Dining Room. The hike on Tuesday and Wednesday will go to Starved Rock and French Canyon unless otherwise requested. On Thursday you will join the weekly Walkers Club and go along with them on their pre-scheduled, weekly hike. Family Cabins are excluded from packages.
