The Manhattan Township Historical Society's mission is to educate area residents about the lives, customs, activities and history of the businesses, residents, and residences of the village and township of Manhattan, IL. In October 2014, the Society opened up its first museum to better serve the community. The museum features exhibits that display the history of Village of Manhattan and Manhattan Township. The Museum is located at 255 S. State Street, Unit A, Manhattan, IL. The museum is open one Saturday per month with no fee.
