St. Charles History Museum

Rotating exhibits of St. Charles history, including Civil War artifacts, local industry and other fascinating facts. Local history research archives available by appointment. Gift shop too.

After consulting with local authorities and in accordance with state guidelines, the St. Charles History Museum has reopened to the public, with restrictions in place.

The St. Charles History Museum houses permanent and temporary exhibits, the Colonial Anderson Room, photo and research archives, the Curious Fox Gift Shop, administrative offices, and the storage-preservation repository for the Museum’s collections.

The Museum will now allow visitors into the Jack & Kathy Brens Exhibit Hall by appointment only during normal operating hours, 11 AM - 4 PM, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Gift Shop customers do not need an appointment. For the safety of staff and other visitors, vistiorship will be limited to one group at a time with no more than 10 people. Face coverings will be required to be worn at all times while inside the Museum facility. Face coverings and hand sanitizer are available to visitors in limited amounts by request. Museum staff continues to follow strict daily sanitization procedures.
