AACGS promotes and provides resources and education on the history of the African American. Embracing all cultures, it offers genealogy workshops, museum displays, storytelling, essay and poetry contests, and the promotion of Cultural Arts.
Barn Quilts of Dewitt County
Barn quilts of DeWitt County is a project designed to celebrate Clinton and DeWitt County’s rich agricultural history, showcase our rural areas, promote agritourism, the arts, and create a sense of community pride. Throughout the county, vibrant, hand-painted 8’X8’ quilt blocks on ‘wooden canvases’ adorn numerous barns, making a drive through the countryside all the more enjoyable.

Kaeuper Hall at Millikin University
Kaeuper Hall is located in the Perkinson Music Center. The 167-seat auditorium was named after Hermann Kaeuper, the first Director of the School of Music. The handicapped accessible hall hosts weekly School of Music recitals, guest instrumental and vocal performances, opera rehearsals, and other intimate concerts.

Built in 1899, the restored depot is the departure point for a weekend afternoon train ride to the Monticello Railway Museum. It also serves as a visitor center for Monticello and Piatt County.
Gallery 510/NOVA Framing
Located in downtown Decatur on Main Street, you'll find the venue for Gallery 510's local artist cooperative. Discover original creations by local artisans including pottery, paintings, textiles, fiber art and metal sculptures. There is a free public reception the first Friday of each month featuring a local artist.
David Erlanson Gallery
The David Erlanson Art Gallery is located in the center of the Richland Community College campus and is used to display artwork of students, faculty, and professional artists. Each month, a new artist is featured and the public is invited to a reception honoring the artist. Annual student and faculty shows are also featured and the gallery space has served as a stage for other art events such as readings and dramatic performances. This intimate space showcases a wide range of works from regional artists, while enhancing the college’s art program. Exhibits rotate monthly, and highlights include an annual student art show in May.
Blue Connection Gallery
The "Art of Entrepreneurship" program (of which the Blue Connection Gallery is an integral part) has been developed to unite the strengths of two of Millikin's Professional Schools: the Tabor School of Business and the College of Fine Arts. This novel combination of two programs enables business students to gain insight into the creative aspects of entrepreneurship while art students of Millikin’s College of Fine Arts learn the importance of marketing their own artwork. You will find all types of art displayed at The Blue Connection. Be sure to stop in and browse -- who knows... a promising student’s work purchased today could turn out to be a valuable masterpiece tomorrow! The gallery participates in the “First Friday” art walks by hosting receptions that trademark the arts community in Decatur’s quaint and historic downtown.
Uptown Normal has undergone a renaissance, with a recent overhaul of the area that included new streets and sidewalks, plus the addition of the Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Charming restaurants and shops populate Uptown Normal, including Babbitt’s Books, which offers hard-to-find rare antique books.

Albert Taylor Theatre at Millikin University
The Albert Taylor Theatre is located in the historic Shilling Hall. The 275-seat auditorium was built as Millikin University opened in 1902. Renovations to the theatre were completed in 2006 and include Handicapped Accessible and Wheel Chair Accessible seating. Annual productions by the Millikin University Department of Theatre & Dance, School of Music, and Opera Program are all held in this theatre. Lectures, classes, and rehearsals are also held in the facility.
Logan County Courthouse
This 1905 Neo-Classical building features a stained glass dome, the longest-serving courtroom in Illinois, a mosaic of the state seal, a statue of Abraham Lincoln and murals of Logan County.

Heritage In Flight Museum
The Heritage in Flight Museum is dedicated to the preservation of aviation history. The museum displays memorabilia and artifacts from all the military conflicts dating back to WWI. These mementos have been donated by both veterans and their families. The museum also offers tours and hosts flying events at the airport.
Twin Cities Ballet
Twin Cities Ballet is a civic ballet company and school of dance which attracts guest dancers throughout the year. The Nutcracker is a local tradition each December.
Deskin's Tavern & Postville Well
Abe Lincoln often stayed at Deskin's Tavern when he traveled to Postville. A well where he is said to have quenched his thirst is also located on this site.
