Clayton Ingersoll, who lost his life in an air crash over France in World War I. This course is located on Rockford's far west side and was selected by the Tiger Woods Foundation to host Tiger Woods for a two-day golf clinic in 2001 and 2004.

The Rockford IceHogs are a professional ice hockey team that plays in the American Hockey League.They began play during the 2007–08 AHL season at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford, IL. They are the top affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL.
At Rivets Stadium, you'll find first-class baseball, big-league excitement, a friendly staff, delicious food, and affordable fun for the entire family! Rivets Stadium opened in 2006 where it was originally the host to the Rockford Riverhawks of the Frontier League. The Rivets took over the stadium in the fall of 2015 after the demise of the Rockford Aviators. It has also been home to the Rockford University Regents baseball team since 2007. The stadium has 3,279 seats, but can host crowds of over 4,000.
