Crazy Horse Campground
Crazy Horse is a 55-acre campground blanketed with rolling hills, hiking trails through wooded land, and two large ponds for fishing, boating, and a swimming beach. Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area
Approximately 5,000 acres are timber, while there are 46 miles of trails for activities including horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and bicycling. Boating is permitted. Camping with electricity.

A 9.960-acre bottomland environment of sloughs and backwater lakes, Sanganois is managed primarily to provide a refuge for migratory waterfowl and a public duck hunting area.

Big Eli Wheel #17 Rides
Ride the Big Eli Wheel at Community Park. Similar to the Ferris wheel, Eli Wheels are more compact and easily movable. The Eli Bridge Company still manufactures these wheels and other amusement rides in Jacksonville.
Downtown Jacksonville Walldog Murals
Completed in the Summer of 2006, these 10 murals depicting historic Jacksonville scenes and events were handpainted by more than 50 sign painters and graphic artists from as far away as Scotland and New Zealand.
Not your ordinary youth baseball and softball parks, the fields here are entirely covered in Players Turf, making it virtually rain-out proof and allowing for a variety of different levels of play. Facilities are lighted, and include 20-foot scoreboards, concrete dugouts, concession stands and sound systems.
16th Annual Jacksonville Rotary Club Bass Tournament
16th Annual Jacksonville Rotary Club Bass Tournament at Lake Jacksonville. Registration and pre-tournament meeting will be held at 6 a.m. (central daylight savings time.) Drawing for order will take place after meeting (late registration – after March 31st not included in the drawing) There is a 40 boat limit so register early. Entry fee is $150.00 and $10.00 per boat for the Big Bass Pot (optional.) Daily or Seasonal boat permit required. Contact the Jacksonville City Clerk’s office at 217.479.4613 by April 10th to get permit. Proof of $25,000 liability insurance is required. This state-of-the-art playground also boasts a splash and play pad that is accessible to people of all abilities. This free park is open year-round, with the splash pad available from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
