Alton Muny Band: Haskell Park
Locals seldom miss a beat during the weekly summer concerts performed by the Alton Municipal Band at Haskell & Riverfront Park. Enjoy concert band music, which includes marches, concert pieces, popular tunes, and novelty numbers. This is a family friendly and the concerts are free and open to the public. Every Sunday the Alton Muny Band will perform at the Haskell Park starting at 7:00 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Beaver Dam State Park

Coffeen Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area
22 species of fish are found in this lake, including bass, white crappie, channel catfish, bullhead, yellow bass, bluegill, and carp. This 1,100-acre lake is surrounded by native oak and hickory forests. Picnicking, hiking, and limited hunting and trapping.
Drost Park features a 7-acre lake, pavilions, 1-mile walking trail, boat ramp, playground, and restroom facilities. The University of Illinois' Master Gardeners keep it seasonally beautiful.

Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches"). Several are located at the Rivers Project and interested individuals can attend this free 1 hour program on Saturdays, June through August,to learn more and get involved in geocaching.
