Home to one of the earliest educational enterprises in Illinois, the park and its sister site, Jubilee College State Historic Site, are located 15 miles northwest of Peoria near Kickapoo. In addition, to the rich history of the college, the park offers hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and camping. Jubilee College State Park has more than 40 miles of multi-use trails that wind through woodland, hills, ravines and prairies. Mountain bikers are reminded that horses have the right-of-way on the trails.

Hennepin Canal Bike Paths
The Hennepin Canal Parkway follows an old towpath that was actually never used, although the locks and aqueducts are in still in place. It was originally built to link the Illinois and Mississippi rivers. The 105-mile path is level and easy; however, water is scarce along the way (found only at locks 21, 22 and the Visitor Center), so be sure to bring plenty, especially during hot days. The landscape varies from forest to grasslands to marsh to farmland, and the trail is particularly pleasing during fall, when the leaves are changing colors. The Hennepin Canal Parkway has become a cyclist's paradise and an exceptional spot for fishing, birding, horseback riding and a wealth of outdoor recreation.

Hennepin Feeder Canal Trail
The Hennepin Feeder Canal Trail located just south of Rock Falls is where you will pick up this medium to difficult trail. Cyclists, hikers and anglers come to enjoy the stocked waters, the peaceful wooded banks and the abundance of bird life. As the trail heads south toward the rural countryside the path frees itself from the throngs of people allowing you to enjoy the serene environment all to yourself.
This 150-acre park with a 225-acre lake is owned by the city of Rushville. The park offers fishing and canoeing, hiking trails through a hardwood forest, camping and picnicking, youth group camping area, pavilions, boat dock & baseball diamond. The campground facilities consist of 77 spaces with electrical hookups. All spaces have water and there is a modern shower house for your convenience. Schuy-Rush Lake offers a well maintained boat ramp. There is a generous supply of slips for docking your boat overnight or for the entire camping season. Fishing is by pole and line only and the lake has a large variety of fish. For the adventurous, we have a nature trail for hiking. Come to Schuy-Rush Lake where we supply the water and you supply the fun.

Jubilee College State Park is a 3,200-acre facility, located in Peoria County between Kickapoo and Brimfield, just off U.S. Route 150. This scenic area, with its rolling topography and meandering Jubilee Creek, offers various outdoor recreation.
Exposition Gardens, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide unique opportunities for diverse educational and recreational experiences, as an integrated partner in the community. Located in northwest Peoria, it provides an excellent location for the Heart of Illinois Fair each July. Our 80-acre facility contains multiple buildings that can be rented during all other times of the year. Easily accessible from I-74 and I-474, Expo Gardens offers miles of free parking, an arena, covered pavilion and a 14,000 square-foot temperature-controlled exhibit hall. Several 50' x 150' buildings can be rented for smaller events and a large, open, unobstructed area can accommodate your truck/auto sales or outdoor flea market. Several areas support wireless internet service and most buildings are handicapped accessible. We can help you with snack bar service as well as assistance in decorating, catering and equipment rentals. We also have a full hook up camping area on the property.
