The Knox County Scenic Drive is a self-guided car tour that occurs the first two full weekends of October (Saturday & Sunday), allowing you to navigate your way through the small towns of Knox County. Two one-room schoolhouses, four buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a railroad depot, an 1832 log cabin, museums and century old chapels will be open for visitors to explore. The Aquatic Center traditionally opens the last weekend in May. The facility includes swimming pool, diving boards, water slide and separate baby pool with a mushroom sprinkler fountain. Goofy Golf and Batting Cages open in April.

18 miles north of Decatur on Route 48 near Argenta. The park feature three nature trails - the quarter-mile Friends Creek Trail, the 2-mile Woodland Trail, and the 2.5-mile Sun Trail. Each varies in difficulty and meanders through topographies ranging from open meadows and floodplains, to towering oak-hickory forests and undulating hillsides.
