A Living History Program throughout the summer.
Imagine stepping back in time to the Springfield that Abraham Lincoln knew before he became president. What was it like to be one of his neighbors? What kind of games did the kids play? What was the music like in the 1850's? How on earth did everyone get by without the internet? Or even a telephone?
Come celebrate 10 years of History Comes Alive in Springfield this summer and learn more about a man who would become one of the most beloved presidents in American history. You'll be able to meet President Abraham Lincoln in person with his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, as he delivers his famous Gettysburg Address, the Farewell Address at Lincoln Depot, or in their backyard to take that perfect Instagram photo with you!
We have a huge cast of characters for you to interact with during your visit to Springfield this summer.
