Rock Cut State Park

Information

Rock Cut State Park, one of Northern Illinois's larger state parks, offers camping, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, horse and bike trails, cross-country ski trails, ice skating, and concessions.

Fifty-acre Olson Lake is especially for swimmers. At the Outdoor Store, guests can rent kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, row boats, and fishing boats for use on Pierce Lake (162 acres). Olson Lake (50 acres) includes beach access for swimming, beach volleyball, and hand-held boat loading docks. The Lone Rock Cafe, located next to the Outdoor Store, provides a variety of delicious menu items for meals and snacks. The campground has over 200 Class-A premium sites (28 available by reservation) and 60 Class-B premium sites.
