Waterloo's Christmas on the Square
Please join us in historic downtown Waterloo for our 34th Annual Christmas on the Square Weekend! This tradition takes place every year on Thanksgiving weekend. Visit the participating merchants for a chance to win great prizes! Visit with Santa and enjoy a free carriage ride from Noon-4 p.m. each day! Be sure to grab a great viewing spot for the annual glow holiday lighted parade, taking place on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. followed with a post-parade chili supper. On Sunday, vote on your favorite decorated lamppost, located around the courthouse square! Enjoy a free concert, compliments of the Waterloo Municipal Band on Sunday at 1 p.m., and enjoy kettle corn on the courthouse square. So much fun!
Sycamore Pumpkin Fest
2015 is the 54th Annual Sycamore Pumpkin Festival downtown. What started out as an idea by Wally Thurow in 1956 to offer something creative for the students of Sycamore, has grown from a neighborhood display on his front yard into the towns biggest city wide event beginning on Wednesday with the Opening Ceremony and cake cutting. The festival begins with over 1000 entries in the Lions Decorated Pumpkin Display, 2 carnivals, 2 large indoor craft shows, many non-profit vendors, and culminating with an hour and a half long parade on Sunday.
Sumner Fall Festival
This 3 day family fun event includes food, nightly entertainment, children's games, corn-hole tournament and a parade on Saturday.
Sreator Labor Day Parade

14th Annual International Route 66 Mother Road Festival
Come take part in a celebration of America's Highway, Route 66, at the 14th Annual International Route 66 Mother Road Festival. More than 1,000 cool cars will roll into the heart of Springfield's historic downtown this September. Enjoy music, entertainment, great food and a great time, as well as visit some of the nation's most popular automotive aftermarket vendors. It's a wonderful event for the whole family!
Scarecrow Daze Festival
During the Annual Scarecrow Daze Festival, the entire city of Shelbyville is decorated with scarecrows. With a different theme every year, entrants decorate their homes and businesses to the theme. There is also a large parade on Saturday, kids' games, a beer tent, music, a quilt show, and plenty of food and crafts, in downtown Shelbyville. Held in conjunction with Touchstone Energy Balloon Fest.
Roscoe Lions Club Fall Festival
The Roscoe Lions Club hosts the village's annual Fall Festival at Leland Park, featuring amusement rides, live music, parades and a raffles. All proceeds from the raffle will go toward supporting the Lions Club. The parade on Sunday starts at 11:00am.
Octoberfest Parade and Field Competition
The 20th annual Octoberfest Parade and Field Competition will be held on Saturday, October 17th featuring marching bands and a parade will traveling west from 33rd & Maine Street at 2:00 p.m. The field competition will begin at 5:15 p.m. at the Flinn Stadium located at 44th and Maine Street. Murphysboro Apple Festival
The Murphysboro Apple Festival is the oldest and largest, alcohol-free festival in Southern Illinois. Over 45,000 people attend the festival each year. During the five days of the Apple Festival, there are numerous activities drawing large crowds such as evening stage shows, carnival/concessions, Queen Contest, Prince and Princess Contest, contests from apple pie eating to apple core throwing, firefighters' water fights, marching band competition, car shows, Appletime 5K Walk/Run and much more. In addition, the festival's Grand Parade is one of the largest parade in Southern Illinois. The parade features an average of about 160 total units, 25 of those marching bands, and a variety of groups and organizations.
Mt. Vernon Fall Festival
This three day October festival in downtown Mt. Vernon includes a beer tent with live entertainment, parade, children's area, food, fun, car show, band competition, pumpkin competition, carnival, pet parade and so much more!

QCA Heritage Tractor Parade and Show
Celebrate the history, pride, and technology of Deere & Company during the QCA Heritage Tractor Parade and Show. This tractor parade and show features all brands/colors 1970 and older of John Deere Tractors. It will be held September 8 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the John Deere Pavilion Admission to the parade and show are free.
Lions Club Labor Day Celebration
Picnic celebration with live music and a parade. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to Fort Massac State Park to enjoy live music and entertainment. An all day outdoor cookout featuring hamburgers, hotdogs, and more.
Veterans On Parade
Marion proudly presents a parade to honor all Southern Illinois veterans. Over 17 bands will march & perform (awards to be given) plus floats and over 1000 veterans from all branches of service will ride or march. Entertainment and food at Fairgrounds.
