Discover the history of Winslow. Featuring displays relating to discovery of cream cheese, which had its beginnings in Winslow and later made famous as Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Also see the history of Doc Carver's Wild West Show. Each open date will also feature a brat stand and a farmers market. Open: April thru October: Second Saturday of each month: 10 am 3 pm.
Artesian Well at Paradise Cove
Nestled along Indian Creek is a natural artesian well where thousands of gallons of pure water flow each day - as it has since 1927. A ten foot water wheel is turned continually by the flowing water. The site, which is accessed by Stephenson County's only covered bridge, includes a waterfall, large flower beds and gazebo to enjoy while sipping the bubbling water. Open: 7 am - 8 pm.
Bobber's River Tap
Bobber's is an open, outdoor, deck bar and picnic area, along the banks of the Pecatonica River. A relaxing stop for travelers by road or river. Bobber's is a converted 95 year old lumberyard. Bring your own pole and boat, or just sit and relax with a cold drink and watch the river flow by. Open: May thru October: Sunday: Noon - 10 pm; Thursday thru Saturday: 11 am - 1 am.

Edwards West is a popular destination for families to enjoy the sights, tastes, and activities of an apple orchard and farm market. For a fun family outing, enjoy the experience of picking your own apples, pumpkins and raspberries. Visit the play area featuring the wooden bus and train, the corn cribs, the wagon slide and our animals in the "Petting Farm." Stroll through the over 100 year old dairy barn with displays of bright colored apples, freshly squeezed cider, fresh apple cider donuts, and wonderful gift items that are on display.

Blackhawk Farms Raceway challenges both amateur, as well as, professional drivers. They have everything from autocross and driver’s schools, to wheel-to wheel racing. They have a variety of participating car, motorcycle, bicycle & kart organizations such as SCCA, Midwestern Council, River Valley Kart Club, Championship Cup Series, Porsche Club of America Chicago Region, Burnham Racing and Xtreme Xperience to name but a few. Spectators are always welcome.

Pearl Lake Campground - South Beloit
Whether you spend a weekend, a month or all season, if you are a camper who enjoys peace and quiet, Pearl Lake is the place for you. Basic tenting sites and sites with electricity and water are available. Phone service is available at selected sites. A disposal station and a pumping service, restrooms have flush toilets and hot water showers. A large sand beach has plenty of room for sunning and a gently sloping bottom for safe and enjoyable swimming. Although swimming is at one's own risk, trained lifeguards are on duty whenever the beach is open. A bath house is located adjacent to the beach, and the Snack Bar offers a variety of food including burgers, hot dogs and ice cream.

Nygren Wetland Preserve
Nygren Wetland Preserve is a 721-acre tract near the confluence of the Rock River and Pecatonica River, making it an important stopover and nesting spot for many species of birds including Sandhill Cranes. The Natural Land Institute, a private, not-for-profit land conservation organization, owns the preserve and began restoration of prairies, wetlands and woodlands to the area in 2000.
