Mississippi Earthtones Festival
Come celebrate life on the Mississippi River through art, music, and conservation! The event will kick-off with a river clean-up beginning at 9 a.m. The festival is part of a statewide celebration of our rivers and an opportunity to learn more about the environmental issues in our region and solutions. The festival will feature informational booths on ecology, native plants & animals and recycling, as well as arts & crafts, food vendors, litter clean-ups, organized hikes & bike rides, and live music! All Wheels Drive In Car Show
Classic cars, hot rods and motorcycles will be displayed on West 3rd, State and Belle streets for the 16th Annual All-Wheels Drive-In Car Show. Come out for the autos and stay for the music. There will be a great DJ all morning and a live blues band in the afternoon. Miles Davis Jazz Festival
Enjoy an evening of jazz celebrating the music and life of one the true giants of jazz music - Miles Davis. There will be entertainment by Fred Walker, Dilbert Caldwell Band, Me and Bob, and Phil Dunlap Nonet. This event benefits the Alton Museum of History and Art. Admission is $20 per person.
Summer Kick Off at Haskell Park
Please join us for our 5th Annual Summer Kick Off at Haskell Park! Celebrating the return of the Alton Muny Band concert season. Annawan Fun Days
It’s all about the kids! Festivities are held at Howe’s Park and feature kid friendly activities like an obstacle course, pedal tractor pull, water fights, and the Twinkie train! Evenings offer a movie, food, nightly entertainment, and fireworks – first of the season in Henry County! After the Sunday parade, have a slice of pie or buy one to take home from the annual auction.
Antioch's Summer Arts & Crafts Faire
This newly designed Summer Hand-Crafted Arts and Crafts Faire will feature artisans from around the country. Enjoy more than 140 booths of hand-crafted goods for summer and fall, food and free admission. There will also be plenty of children's free fun including face painting, balloon art and "Paint our Town!"
Arthur Amish Country Cheese Festival

Strawberry Jam Festival
Roll out the strawberry red carpet in the Arthur area as it is the start of festival and fair season in the Heart of Illinois Amish Country Friday ans Saturday, June 3 and 4. What better way to celebrate late spring and early summer than with America’s favorite fruit, the strawberry, kid’s activities, contests, crafts, strawberry pie, an old fashioned strawberry social along with a multitude of vendors and some great music all mixed together to create Arthur Amish Country’s Strawberry Jam.
Chet Kingery Memorial Bluegrass Festival
The 4th Annual Chet Kingery Memorial Bluegrass Festivall will be held at The Great Pumpkin Patch this year. Headliners include Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper and Blue Mafia. The combination of talent from award winning nationally known groups to local entertainment is sure to please all attendees. All the bands will perform a mixture of traditional and bluegrass/gospel music.

Bluegill Music Festival
March 16, 2015 - Bluegill Music Festival will lunch its inaugural event on July 4, 2015 for a one-day festival packed with some of country music's hottest acts. The all-day festival will be complete with Southern Illinois' largest fireworks display, along the shores of the Rend Lake Dam, in Benton, IL. The lineup includes Eli Young Band, LoCash, Clayton Anderson and more exciting acts to be announced. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, March 20th and can be purchased at www.bluegillfest.com and at Black Diamond Harley Davidson. Drawing fans from around the country, including Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana, the festival is at the intersection of some of the nation's most dedicated country music fans. Bluegill Music Festival will feature nationally recognized BBQ vendors from around the country. Interactive entertainment for fans will also include activations, like: bags, washers, bubble soccer, Illinois longest slip n' slide, helicopter rides from Black Diamond Harley Davidson, a mechanical bull, a kids area with a large inflatable slide and the "Bluegill Lagoon", featuring a 60 x 100' VIP beach, with cabanas, private wading pools & lounge area. Additionally, Southern Illinois' largest fireworks display will begin at 9:30pm, and is free for all guest.
Rend lake Water Festival
The Rend Lake Water Festival is 5 fun filled days of carnival food, rides, and games, with a grand parade and much more - all at the unique Benton Public Square!
Bishop Hill Honor Flight Benefit
A barbeque rib dinner, that’s finger licking good right off the grill starts the festivities. Patriot Guard and Legion Riders ride into town and kick off the festivities with an invocation and presentation of colors. Patriotic music is provided throughout the event as well as unique military exhibits and a military retreat is held promptly at 1800 hours with a 21 gun salute and taps. A live auction of donated items, including, locally made artisan craft to sports memorabilia and more is the highlight of the day, besides the eating that is. Area veterans are provided with a free trip to visit their memorial. All proceeds from the day’s events are donated to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities, $60,000 and counting. 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Midsommar Music Festival
Music and fun for the entire family, participate in musical workshops, jamming sessions and a barn dance with instructions provided. Main stage concerts are held in Village Park. Main Stage events begin at 11 am, Maypole procession at 4 pm, and Barn Dance at 7 pm.
Bishop Hill Clay and Fiber Fest
Interact with skilled potters and a variety of fiber artists during this two day event. Artists are featured in an indoor/outdoor classroom at Bishop Hill's Prairie Arts Center. Potters of all levels will demonstrate wheel throwing and hand building techniques, the Native American art of horse hair pottery, pit and raku firing processes and more. Learn weaving, spinning, rug hooking and broom making. Make and take activities will be conducted both days. Local musicians will entertain you with their diverse musical style in the village park Saturday afternoon, and an old-fashioned pie and ice cream social will be held there, too. Saturday evening, a soup supper takes place in the Bishop Hill Colony School. For $10, attendees can pick out a hand-thrown bowl, fill it with homemade soup, and take the bowl home afterward.
Jordbruksdagarna – Agriculture days
Celebrate Bishop Hill’s agrarian heritage, this event features traditional 19th century harvest activities and demonstrations, hands-on activities, music, farm produce, and Colony stew. Hours: 10am to 5pm.
Chicago Southland Dragon Boat Festival
The dragons are coming to Blue Island for the inaugural Chicago Southland Dragon Boat Festival. Watch these long 20-seat boats with a dragon decoration on the outside mimic the old war canoes of ancient Asian past. This ancient Chinese sport has become one of the fierce competitions throughout the world, and is growing rapidly in the Southeastern and Midwestern United States. 9AM-3PM.
