Lily's Crossing at the Parmount Theatre
Summer is Lily’s favorite time of the year. With a cozy home on the Atlantic, her best friend Margaret just down the beach and spectacular plans on the horizon, she has not a care in the world,. But this is the summer of 1944, and World War II is about to change Lily’s life. Her father Poppy joins the army, Margaret’s family has moved away and nothing is the same. Now Lily must find it inside herself to be brave, stay strong and find friends in the places she least expects. Based on Patricia Reilly Giff’s Newberry Medal-winning novel, Lily’s Crossing will teach students of all ages the powers of courage, honesty and above all, friendship. Performances 9:30 am and noon.
