Wine, Women, and Windows ~ Bishop Hill Quilt Show
The annual quilt show is like a needle and thread as it, too, joins together family members and friends to create something memorable. This event continues to grow and over 100 quilts and quilted pieces are entered in this judged show at the Colony School. Be sure to visit the Village Smithy and VagnHall Galleri to see additional quilts on display.

Wine & Chocolate Dinner
Do you love wine? How about chocolate? This is the dinner for you then as we incorporate the two for a 4-course meal. Our chef and his team will bring you a chocolate inspired dinner to be paired with the perfect wine. This is a great event for wine and chocolate enthusiasts. This event will begin at 5:30 pm on the “porch” –located within Elements Restaurant in the heart of historic Starved Rock Lodge. Reservations are required due to limited availability. $65 per person. White Christmas The Musical
Celebrate the holiday season with Irving Berlin's White Christmas, the merry and bright stage production based on the classic silver screen romantic comedy. When two former Army buddies, who are now Broadway performers, follow a sister act booked at a charming Vermont Inn, they soon discover that it is owned by their former commander. With no snow and no customers, the General is nearly bankrupt. To save the lodge, the two acts team up and put on a festive show packed with Irving Berlin favorites like Blue Skies, Count Your Blessings, I Love a Piano, and, of course, White Christmas. White Christmas is joyful entertainment for the entire family and will have audiences dreaming of tree tops glistening and sleigh bells in the snow.

Geneseo’s fastest growing event gets even better. Join Gen-Air for a fly-in luncheon on Thursday, Cruise the Hennepin Canal by golf carts on Friday. Visit downtown on Saturday as the streets fill up with vintage cars from all eras, train engines, model trains, airplanes, food and festivities.
Traditional Music Festival
Early 19th century music and dancing will occur throughout the pioneer village at New Salem State Historic Site in Petersburg. Impromptu demonstrations and performances of music and dancing are featured. The park sets up straw bales for jam sessions, and there is a great deal of bluegrass, old-time, and other music going on. Camping is available and there are evening concerts.
The Winter Wonderettes
THE WINTER WONDERETTES takes audiences to Harper’s Hardware for their 1968 holiday party, hosted by the female singing group The Wonderettes. When Santa turns up missing, the ladies must use their talent and creative ingenuity, plus some great holiday tunes such as “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “ Run Rudolph Run,” “Winter Wonderland” and 20 other seasonal favorites, to save the festivities. This energetic and entertaining show is guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages.
The United States Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors
Enjoy a free concert by the internationally acclaimed Jazz Ambassadors of Washington, D.C., the official touring big band of the United States Army. Formed in 1969, this 19-member ensemble has received great acclaim at home and abroad performing America’s greatest original art form, jazz. This is a free concert but tickets are required. The Sklar Brothers at the Genesee Theatre
Randy and Jason Sklar began as one zygote but eventually took Hollywood by storm. As stand-up comedians, they recorded their second half hour Comedy Central presents in November 2009 and it premiered in March of 2010. The Onion A.V Club named the Sklar Brothers’ latest comedy CD Henderson and Daughters in their Top 10 Comedy albums of 2011.

The Priests are a classical musical trio made up of three Roman Catholic priests from Northern Ireland. Frs. Martin O'Hagan, Eugene O'Hagan and David Delargy are amongst the most recognized and successful acts in both the religious and secular worlds. Their debut album, sold at such a pace, it secured them a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest-selling classical debut ever.
The Nutcracker Ballet is a holiday tradition woven with beautiful choreography, music and a special story. Set to the lovely score by Tchaikovsky, this two act ballet begins with a young girl named Clara who receives a special gift from Herr Drosselmeyer at a Christmas Party. The nutcracker gift quickly becomes Clara’s favorite and soon transforms into a prince who invites her to join him on a special journey. The story continues through the snow, into the Land of Sweets where dancers from many lands entertain them. Is it all a dream? This will be the 15th time that the Kaiser Dance Theatre has brought the lovable ballet to local audiences. The first performance took place in 1985 and since then has become one of Quincy’s very own holiday traditions.
