The twinkling lit streets will be filled with live music, costumed characters, festive photo-ops, live reindeer and much more! The Holiday Parade ushering in the jolly old elf himself (Santa) and Mrs. Claus steps off at 6:30 pm. The City of Aurora Holiday Tree will then be illuminated by Mayor Weisner, Miss Merry Christmas and Mr. Jack Frost. The parade and tree lighting are followed by a grand fireworks display along the banks of the Fox River. Holiday Pop-up Shops featuring music, art, gifts and good things to eat can be enjoyed at Water Street Mall (behind City Hall) 5 - 9 pm. After the fireworks, follow Santa and Mrs. Claus to Riverfront Playhouse where Santa will be on stage listening to Christmas wishes. As a bonus, Mrs. Claus will have special treats for those who have been good all year. Come and make Winter Lights a memory-filled family tradition!

Based at Hinckley Airport (0C2) in the friendly village of Hinckley IL, situated about fifty miles West of the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago.
Our shop specializes in artisan garden spinners, crafted by Bill Saloga. These beautiful pieces are as efficient as they are artistic, using an aerodynamic and bearing technology Bill and his dad developed, allowing the spinner to perform with as little as two m.p.h wind speed. As Windmill City Spinners changes from season to season our artistic presentation of home and garden décor makes this little shop a worthy destination.
Willow’s Hometown Café is located in the Frederick Townsend Garage and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Sycamore Historic District. The distinctive stone structure was constructed in 1906 for use as a garage for the estate of Frederick B. Townsend, his former home is the Queen Anne mansion that overlooks the garage property. The structure is made of granite rocks gathered from Townsend’s farmland, right here in Sycamore.
Built in 1856, this Italianate building is home of the Aurora Historical Society and where you’ll find historic photos, books, documents and maps covering Aurora’s history from the 1830s to now. Tours of fully furnished home & exhibits offered by appointment. Season tours begin on Sun., April 10 and will be offered at 1, 2 and 3 pm every Wed. and Sun. through Sept. 28. They will be closed on July 3 to prepare for Independence Day. Tours are free; donations appreciated.
