Wings of Peace and Freedom Park
A Bulgarian immigrant donated the Wings of Peace and Freedom sculpture to the City of Dixon. The artwork, which includes a full-size replica of a section of the Berlin Wall, recognizes President Reagan's efforts to attain worldwide peace and freedom.
Whiteside County Barn Tour
The 2015 Whiteside County Barn tour will feature nine farms with twelve barns in the Morrison. The tour starts at the historic round barn located on the Whiteside County Fairgrounds, 201 West Winfield Street, Morrison. The route is a compact 26 miles. Along the way, you will see unique barns, livestock and other surprises. Tour goers will also have the opportunity to visit and learn about the work of WHOA - White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center - offering equine assisted activities to individuals with special needs.
