13th Annual John Deere Days
13th annual celebration featuring John Deere tractors and machinery, including two cylinder and new generation tractors, plus food and lots of great conversation with the owners of the tractors. All models and colors are welcome. An exhibitors tractor drive will be held on Sunday at 10 am. Part of the 8 Miles of Ag-tiques event. (815-789-4570)
14th Annual Lincoln Douglas 5K and Fun Run
A series of short distances for children begins at 8 am: ages 8 and under – 100 yards; 9 to 10 – 200 yards; 11 to 12 – 400 yards. All finishers receive ribbons. The boy and girl winners of each age group will run a 100-yard dash following the 5K to determine “The Fasted Kid in Town!”. A One Mile Fun Run begins at 8:15 am. The course consists of one loop around the historic paved road inside Taylor Park. This is an untimed run and all finishers receive ribbons. The 5K begins at 8:35 am. The course consists of three loops around the paved road inside Taylor Park, a 5K (3.1 miles), wheel-measured certified course that is flat and fast designed to help runners achieve a personal best.
1930's Ag Museum
This privately owned museum houses forty-two John Deere farm implements manufactured in the late 1920's through 1940. Showcased is a 1936 Model B John Deere Tractor, fully restored. The Ag Museum also features an antique horse equipment collection and period farm house furnishings, as well as equipment and hand tools found on a 1930's farmstead. All free of charge, open by appointment, located on the northern edge of Quincy.
19th Century Christmas at Deere-Wiman House & Butterworth Center
Don't miss these two beautifully decorated Deere family mansions during the holiday season. The 19th Century Christmas features the interiors of the homes decorated for the holidays; along with living-history volunteers, Choir performances, Santa Claus, music, and make-and-take activities for the children. These homes once belonged to the John Deere family and are now operated by the William Butterworth Memorial Trust. Open noon to 5 p.m. Free admission.
2016 STIHL Timbersports U.S. Pro and Collegiate Championships
The STIHL Timbersports® Series assembles the world's top lumberjack athletes to compete in the Original Extreme Sport. The Series is seen by millions viewers annually in over 62 countries around the world on networks like ABC, Eurosport, and ESPN, where it is now recognized as the second longest running show behind only 'SportsCenter'. Athletes compete in a variety of disciplines based on traditional logging skills to determine the best all-around lumberjack. Disciplines include Hot Saw, Single Buck, Springboard Chop, Standing Block Chop, Stock Saw and Underhand Chop. Schedule: July 15 1PM-5PM, 7PM-10PM; July 16 5PM-9PM.
22nd Annual Airport Open House and Fly In
You won't want to miss the 22nd annual Fly-In and car show. On Saturday, take a close look at warbirds, antique aircraft and automobiles on display. 23rd Annual Potawatomi Trails Pow Wow
The Potawatomi Trails Pow-Wow is the only event of its kind in this area. This celebration of the Native-American heritage heightens the awareness of the history, traditions and customs of the heritage. Specific activities include demonstrations, music and dance presentations, educational sessions and a trader area.

47th Annual Threshing Show and Antique Show
The Stephenson County Antique Engine Club proudly presents this annual event, “The Freeport Show”. It offers over 300 antique steam and horse-powered engines and equipment, and gas engines. This year’s feature is John Deere tractors and equipment. There will be a huge parade daily at 1:00 pm, a large flea market, a large display building offering antique transportation displays, home antiques, crafts, demonstrations, and farm miniatures, Gasoline Alley featuring gas powered engines, sawmill, and blacksmith shop. Also ride the Silver Creek and Stephenson Railroad antique steam train A Midwest Championship Antique Tractor Pull will be held on Saturday.

8 Miles of Ag-tiques begins on Highway 26 north of Orangeville. Each stop will feature different tractors including John Deere, Massey Harris, International Harvester, Oliver, Minneapolis-Moline, Allis Chalmers, and other old machinery from the Good Old Days. There will be food, craft shows, tractor drives and fun.
